"Why is there no reason?"
"Really no reason?"
He couldn't believe it.
Camille looked into his dark eyes and said softly, "There really is nothing. It's probably because of the excitement during the day that I couldn't sleep at night, so I ended up having a little insomnia and decided to raid your liquor cabinet. I only had a few sips."
"Would you like to have a little more with me now?" Ayan asked calmly.
Camille pushed his hand away and replied, "I don't drink."
"How about having a drink with me?"
"You're unbelievable," Camille said irritably.
Her bristling attitude only made Ayan's lips curl in amusement.
The two of them cuddled in bed for a while, and then Ayan got up.
It was nearly lunchtime by now. Camille was taking her time getting ready while Ayan had already instructed the housekeeper to serve the meal.
They hadn't had a meal together in the past two days, so this one felt particularly delicious. Camille's appetite had improved as well.
She finished a bowl of rice, sipped on some soup, and devoured many dishes.
She ate to her heart's content.
After the meal, Camille sat in the garden. It was overcast today, with no direct sunlight, so she didn't have to worry about getting sunburned.
Camille sat for a while and suddenly had an idea. She immediately turned to Ayan, who was standing nearby, and said, "Would you like to go for a walk with me?"
Ayan didn't think much and just took Camille's hand as they went outside together.
The two walked from the villa to the spot where Camille had seen the scene from the balcony the night before. It was only a few minutes' walk from the villa, and from there, they had an unobstructed view of the entire villa.
Camille pursed her lips, gazing straight ahead with an unwavering focus.
Her behavior finally caught Ayan's attention, and he asked, "What are you looking at?"
Camille kept her lips pursed and didn't respond, but she asked, "What do you think you can see from here at night?"
Ayan furrowed his brow, and his expression became more serious. "What are you talking about?"
Camille stayed silent for a second and then explained what she had seen last night. Ayan's face grew darker the more he listened, and he asked, "Why didn't you tell me last night?"
"It was very late, and since you didn't respond to my messages, I figured you were resting. I didn't want to disturb you. Besides, nothing significant happened, and I wanted to talk to you about it when you came back today."
Camille offered a simple explanation, but Ayan's expression became even more somber and cold.
Ayan didn't say much but held Camille's hand as he led her to the security area.
By reviewing the surveillance footage from this time and cross-referencing it with the license plate and vehicle information, they determined that the vehicle had entered around 9:00 pm and left the area. The contact information and identity information left by the person who had parked the vehicle near their residence were all for someone unknown to Camille and Ayan. If the person was a stranger, why did they park their car near their residence?
According to the surveillance footage, the person entered Franklin Bay but didn't wander around; they went directly to the spot where Camille had seen them.
Why would someone linger in the area for so many hours? Was it really just out of boredom?
At the moment, they could only confirm that it was a man because he had deliberately concealed his face from the moment he entered Franklin Bay. Even when checked by the security as he entered, he stayed in his car and made sure not to reveal much of his appearance.
After this series of investigations, Camille began to have vague concerns. As they walked back home from the security area, Camille looked at Ayan and asked softly, "Do you think someone is watching us? Could it be someone arranged by the Armstrong family?"
