"Am I despicable?" Preston sneered, his voice becoming particularly grave. He said, "Cami, isn't that a bit too hurtful of you to say? If I were truly despicable, do you think you could still talk to me like this? If I were really despicable, I should have taken you away the last time."
His tone was filled with displeasure and anger. He let out a light snort, his eyes filled with cold indifference, and his voice was full of questioning.
Listening to his words, Camille naturally had no response.
The atmosphere became quiet as a result, but it was only a brief moment of silence. The next second, Preston spoke again. He said, "I want Ayan's itinerary. I need detailed records of his schedule. Cami, don't deceive me. I don't know if you can deceive me, but if I find out you're lying to me, you will pay the price."
His words were full of threats, perhaps thinking that Camille wasn't listening, so he repeated himself, "Cami, I can pamper you and treat you well. I'm willing to fulfill your every desire, but it's on the condition that I'm willing. If I'm not willing now, then you must do as I say. Otherwise, I won't turn a blind eye."
Camille still didn't speak, not even a single response.
This made Preston extremely displeased. He no longer called her "Cami" but addressed her by her name directly, "Camille, did you hear what I said?"
His voice was filled with displeasure, and it was exceptionally cold.
Camille pursed her lips slightly, clearly ignoring his words.
But she didn't want to anger Preston right now. After a brief silence, she said, "If you want the itinerary, it means you want me to intentionally reveal my hand in front of Ayan. I never interfere with his schedule. If I suddenly ask him for his itinerary, what excuse do you want me to use? Do you think with Ayan's personality, he won't have any suspicions?"
Camille tried to dissuade Preston from wanting Ayan's schedule by using this approach because she didn't want Preston to succeed and she didn't want to help him with anything.
Camille's words were unknown whether Preston listened or not. Preston was silent for just two seconds before calmly saying, "That's your problem. You figure it out. I only want a result, so I hope you can deliver."
After saying that, he hung up the phone directly, without giving Camille any opportunity to speak.
Looking at the hung-up phone, Camille's expression turned extremely cold and indifferent. Her eyes revealed a deep chill, and her face remained completely emotionless.
She held the phone without moving for a long time, her face reaching the utmost level of indifference.
Preston wanted Ayan's schedule, which meant he wanted to do something to Ayan. Camille would never agree or compromise, no matter what.
However, if she didn't comply, Preston might resort to threatening her again.
So she needed to think carefully about how to eliminate Preston's threat while keeping Ayan's schedule a secret.
She thought deeply for a while and finally came up with a preliminary answer.
But she needed to ask Ayan before deciding whether it would work or not.
She put down the phone without video calling Timmy. She had no mental capacity for it now. She went to take a shower and when she came out of the bathroom, she saw that Ayan had also returned to his room and was answering a phone call. She wondered who it was.
After a few minutes, the call ended, and he looked up at her.
