Daisy nodded, indicating she understood, though her face showed a hint of disappointment. She said, "I still want to wait, I just need a few minutes, I don't want to take up too much of his time."

Ultimately, Kian could only nod, escorting Daisy to the rest area. The distance from here to Ayan's office was considerable, conveniently separated by a secretary's office, allowing for a clear view of Daisy and preventing any secretive running around like in a hotel.

After settling Daisy in the rest area, Kian had coffee, fruits, and snacks brought over.

Completing these tasks, Kian dismissed the staff and informed Daisy, "Miss Daisy, please have a seat. I need to attend to some matters. If you need anything, just give me a call."

Since Daisy's secretary had Kian's contact information, there was no need to provide it again.

After Daisy nodded, Kian left the rest area and returned to the office area.

Kian reminded the staff in the secretary's office to keep an eye on Daisy in the rest area, ensuring she didn't wander around aimlessly. If she inquired about Ayan, they were to feign ignorance. He also informed them that Ayan was currently in a meeting to avoid any slip-ups.

Having given his instructions, Kian returned to Ayan's office. Ayan didn't even lift his head, only asking in a flat tone, "Has the person left?"

Kian sighed silently before responding, "Not yet. The person is waiting in the rest area and wishes to meet you. It seems urgent, but I've made it clear that you may not have the time. There's a meeting to attend after this, but Daisy is insistent."

Ayan grunted in response, offering no further comments.

Kian, instinctively, glanced at Ayan's expression, which was far from pleasant, prompting him to remain silent.

Ayan left Daisy hanging, showing no intention of meeting her at all.

Time ticked by, leading up to the end of the workday, well past 5:30 PM.

Given a social gathering planned for tonight, the secretary's office staff began to leave, as Ayan had recently relinquished most of his responsibilities in that area. Ayan had arranged for them to gather at Darkmoor for a company-sponsored event.

After being informed of the situation, Kian agreed to let them go about their plans. As they left, the secretary's office became deserted.

But Daisy still waited. Kian had no choice but to approach. Daisy's secretary and bodyguard were struggling to remain awake, while Daisy was fixated on her phone-lost in thought.

Sensing someone approaching, Daisy raised her head to see Kian. Her eyes sparked as she inquired, "Does Ayan have time now?"

Apologetically, Kian replied, "Miss Daisy, I'm sorry, but Mr. Simpson has to leave, so it may not be possible to meet with you."

Daisy's expression darkened as she stared at Kian, "Mr. Reid, is there no time, even for a few minutes? Is it his lack of time or simply his unwillingness to spare any for me?"
