Grace finally understood what had happened.
She was slightly taken aback and instinctively looked at Camille, opening her mouth to ask softly, "Cami, what do they mean by what they said?"
Camille also pursed her lips, unsure of how to explain it to her.
Seeing this, the elder uncle on the side immediately grabbed Grace's arm and spoke in an agitated tone, saying, "Why are you asking her? She's completely indifferent and unconcerned about everything, her own mother is in trouble but she is not sad or anxious at all, she is just helping the person who caused your mother's death."
"Grace, let me tell you, you need to be more rational, you need to think more about the good things your mother has done for you, your mother has sacrificed a lot for you, you must think of her more, with such a big thing happening, now you need to know, only we are the real family, your uncles will not harm you."
"Yes, Grace, we are a family, we are all your mother's closest relatives, at this time we need to stick together, only when we unite can we stand up to your father, that heartless man of yours, your mother got into trouble just by going on a trip with him, he's fine, not a scratch on him, perfectly healthy and back, but your mother still has no news!!"
The two uncles spoke and they started crying, looking like caring older brothers worried about their sister.
But Camille and Grace knew very well that these two uncles were not good to Page, since their grandfather passed away, their grandmother, who had a remarriage relationship with their grandfather, did not have any children of her own, mainly out of consideration for the three children of the grandfather, the two uncles and Page, so the grandmother chose not to have any more children. But when the grandfather passed away, the care of the grandmother became a problem, the two uncles, in order to shirk responsibility, cut off all contact with their mother and also felt that it was Page's responsibility to take care of the grandmother.
But for so many years, Page had not fulfilled her responsibilities at all, not even coming home, since Camille started living with the grandmother, she had barely seen Page a few times.
So were these two uncles truly kind and loving people?
Camille didn't believe it, so even if they slandered her, she didn't mind at all, because no one would believe what came out of their mouths.
At least Grace wouldn't believe it.
Camille stood silently on the side, not speaking up for herself, not defending herself, and certainly not arguing back. She just stood there without a single word.
Grace, with a furrowed brow, listened quietly to the words of the two uncles, maybe her cold reaction was too much, so the two aunties also began to express their concerns and care for Page.
Finally, Grace couldn't listen anymore, she looked indifferently at the four people in front of her and the messy living room behind them. Cousins were lying casually on the sofa, looking careless and the ground was messy too.
Grace took a deep breath in silence, her voice filled with coldness, "Have you said enough? If you have, then please shut up. If you are really worried about mom, then you shouldn't just stay here, you should go find someone, find a way, instead of accusing my family as soon as you see me."
Grace's eyes were sharp, she looked at the four people in front of her, showing no signs of retreat or hesitation, completely different from the usual graceful and restrained her.
Grace's words stunned everyone, as in their subconscious minds, Grace had never shown anger and was always gentle and careful in her words and actions. How could she suddenly express dissatisfaction towards them, her elders?
Before the group could react, Grace had already grabbed Camille's hand and started walking up the stairs.
The group was about to follow, but Ayan and Horace entered at that moment.
