Chapter 1577: Adjustment

Camille relied on Ayan's embrace while also hearing Kian's inquiry.

She managed to control herself well, but her body involuntarily tensed for a moment, then she casually glanced at Ayan's expression.

He didn't show much emotion, his deep eyes revealing a hint of indifference, so Camille couldn't figure out what he was thinking.

He didn't speak, just remained silent. Kian on the other end of the phone didn't hear a response either, so naturally, he didn't dare to hang up easily.

They remained silent for almost a minute before Kian's voice sounded again, "Mr. Simpson?"

Ayan responded with a low "hm" and said in a calm tone, "If you want to know if it's related to him, just check. If it is, then there's no need to pay attention to it."

Since they knew it was related to Preston, there was no need to give Preston any more attention.

Kian quickly agreed, and the call ended there.

Ayan put down his phone, and Camille immediately moved away from his embrace. She said, "It's getting late, I'm going to sleep. Are you leaving?"

Ayan made a soft grunt, pulling her back into his arms tightly, then he pulled the blanket over them and embraced her.

His actions brought a smile to Camille's lips unconsciously, and they fell asleep in each other's embrace.

The night, which initially felt like it would be sleepless, turned out to be a night where they slept very well with each other's presence.

However, the next day was a bit awkward.

He came downstairs in the morning, during breakfast time. Since he was waiting for Camille to go out together today, he purposely delayed his arrival.

Fletcher and Talia, of course, knew early in the morning that he had stayed at the Simpson's mansion last night. After all, the car was parked conspicuously at the garage entrance, impossible to miss.

Camille, Fletcher, Talia, and Timmy were already seated in the dining room. Ayan just finished a phone call, so he arrived a few minutes late.

He walked into the dining room, and Talia pretended to be extremely shocked, exclaiming, "Oh my, Ayan, did you come back so early for breakfast?"

Ayan glanced at Talia and naturally understood that she was being intentional.

Ayan pulled out the chair next to Camille and sat down, then picked up his chopsticks to prepare for breakfast.

Fletcher spoke casually, "Your mom was talking to you. Didn't you hear?"

Fletcher was very protective of his wife, considering her his top priority.
