My Ex-husband Begs Me Back (Ayan and Camille) novel Chapter 629

Chapter 629 Double Standard

Camille frowned, without other emotions on her face.

Just talk. Why was he so close to her?

Camille pursed her lips tightly, "You stay away from me."

"Wow! So cruel to me? You won't coax me, and now you don't even want me to come closer?"

He said it as if it were true, aggrieved as if he were a little girl in love.

Although Camille had slowly gotten used to Ayan like this. When she thought of these words coming out of his mouth, she felt he was completely different from him before.

It was as if those words could never come out of his mouth.

When Camille wouldn't respond, Ayan wouldn't stay away.

She said, "Ayan, can you be more serious and not always say things like that?"

"Am I not serious enough now? You take a good look at whether I'm serious enough now or not, huh?"

After saying that, he raised the other hand directly over her cheek to turn her head gently to him, the pair of black eyes staring at her as if to suck her in a moment.

Camille also opened her eyes suddenly, and for a moment there was no response.

He asked, "Can you tell if I'm serious or joking right now?"

She didn't say anything.

He continued, "I do mind the name of Preston coming out of your mouth, and I don't want you to have any dealings with him, preferably as a stranger, but you don't like me interfering with your social circle, and you don't want me blocking your personal contacts, so I won't interfere with you, and I won't block you, but you can't forbid me to have a little temper, trying to get you to coax me, right?"

His voice was low and gentle, sounding close to her. His breath occasionally spraying near her ears, making his presence clear to her.

Camille dropped her eyes without looking at him, but knew his gaze was on her the whole time.

Because of the small space in the car, the two were very close, especially his fresh breath had been lingering around the tip of the nose, so she was a bit lost in thought, as if someone had shaken her heart.

He finished his words for almost half a minute, and there was no response. Naturally, he would not just let Camille slip by so easily.

He reached out and took her hand on his knee, gently squeezing her white fingers. Although she was thin, her hand was a bit fleshy. Touching it feels very comfortable.

He squeezed her gently, as if to remind her it was time to give some response.

He was not in a hurry, nor did he urge her. He waited patiently and well.

Until Camille took the initiative to open up: "You are unreasonable, you said you would not interfere or block, but then you are not happy, Ayan, are there people who are so overbearing like you?"

Ayan laughed, "So it's my fault?"

"Take me back to the office. I have things to do later. I've already accompanied you to the hospital to see Eileen. It's time for you to send me back."

Camille did not want to continue with this topic. She didn't think it was fun to talk about it, so she just changed the subject.

But Ayan pinched her cheeks, completely refusing to give up.

He said, "And that's how you're going to get rid of me? Then you're too cruel, aren't you?"

"So you're not going to take me back and I'll take a taxi myself?"

"Hey!" His eyes overflowed with displeasure, and his voice was not warm, "So you'd rather make me angry than coax me?"

"I don't know how."

"What?"

Camille wrinkled her brow, ""I don't know how to coax you."

"Is it that you know how to coax me or you know how to coax people?"

Ayan pursued the question.

Camille said with some impatience, "I don't know how to coax people, hurry up and go, okay?"

"You don't know how, but you're good at coaxing Timmy? That's a double standard from you."

He began to complain.

Camille said somewhat helplessly, "Timmy is a child, do you even have to compete with him on this?"

"Isn't everyone equal?" He said it like he had the best reason and did not feel the slightest bit wrong.

Camille thought that if she went on, he might ask for more, and probably let her hug him like she hugged Timmy, right?

Camille slightly pursed her lips, slowly said with a gentle tone, like coaxing Timmy: "Do not be angry, okay? I'll buy you a lollipop later, okay? Now let's hurry up and drive away, huh?"
