My Ex-husband Begs Me Back (Ayan and Camille) novel Chapter 653

Chapter 653 Gossip

Camille nodded her head without comment, thinking it was probably something at work, so she didn't think much of it.

Ayan reached out and gently squeezed her cheeks before walking down the path to the booth a few meters away to talk to Kian on the phone.

Camille stood at the the roadside and looked around, seeing the path on the other side leading to the lotus pond. She looked at Ayan again, thinking it wouldn't be over so soon, so she walked down to the lotus pond.

The pond was planted with lotus flowers. The flowers were not that many, but it was also very beautiful.

Camille took out her phone. She took two pictures and sent them to share with Sienna, then lowered her head to stare at her phone and admire it. At that moment, a man's voice suddenly sounded softly to her left: "What a coincidence!"

Camille looked up and saw the man she had just bumped into while looking for Sienna, and she nodded slightly in greeting.

The man did not mind. He looked away to the lotus pond. His voice was musical and elegant: "Lotus grows out of the mud, but not polluted. They are better than those bright flowers "

Camille was slightly stunned. Her gaze also turned subconsciously towards the man. She kind of agreed with his comments.

She slightly pursed her lips and did not want to speak. After all, they were not familiar, so there was no need to have a deeper talk. But she thought to herself: lotus were probably also like the people, seemingly from mud, but clean and untainted by the slightest dirt. Some other people, seemingly decent but actually filthy.

Camille's silence caused the man to ask in a low voice, "I'm sorry. I've talked too much."

Camille was stunned and also immediately said, "No, you're quite right."

"Do you feel that way?"

"Well, to some extent."

The man slightly hooked his lips, his voice still gentle: "We can meet twice in just two or three hours. It's probably a kind of fate. In fact, I'm not going to hide it from you. I think I'm the human-figure lotus."

Camille was speechless.

Her bewilderment made the man smile lightly. He no longer looked at Camille. After all, it was only the second time they met. It was not very polite to look at her bluntly from time to time.

His eyes fell again on the lotus in the pond. The temperature of his voice seemed to be less warm than just now. He said, "Although the lotus is not a famous flower, it is not willing to settle in the mud. As long as it is the right moment, sooner or later, it will stand in the limelight."

His words had just fallen, and Camille's cell phone rang the next moment.

It was Ayan who called, probably because he didn't saw her after answering the phone.

Camille immediately hung up, then looked at the man and said in a light voice: "You're right. When the time comes, either people or flowers will stand in their stage. I wish you all the best, goodbye!"

It shouldn't be out of nowhere that he compared himself to lotus, so she turned around and went back the way she came after just saying that.

Ayan was standing in the middle of the road when he heard the footsteps. He saw Camille walking back down the road and asked, "Where did you go?"

"Just strolling around, are you done?" Camille didn't say much, it wasn't important after all.

Ayan naturally took her hand and said in a low voice, "Well, it's finished."

He seemed to be in a somewhat depressed mood.

Camille asks, "What's wrong with you?"

"Nothing." He stopped and turned to face Camille. In a low voice, he said, "Just a little tired and need someone to give me a shoulder to lean on, huh?"

Camille said: "I don't think you're tired at all."

She didn't intend to pay attention to his words, turned around and went straight ahead to continue walking. Ayan had no choice but to follow, saying in a warm voice: "I thought you cared for me, but it turns out I made a fool of myself."
