Hearing the children's laughter, Byron shouted from the living room downstairs, "Honey, it’s my turn! Come down quickly!"

Rosalie smiled and walked down the stairs with the kids.

On her birthday many years ago, Byron had accompanied Wendy instead of her.

Before she could see where Byron was, the lights downstairs went off, and the living room was dark.
