The lights in the backyard were switched on.

The children were playing football outside. Estie lifted her skirt as she struggled to follow behind the brothers. She did not manage to kick the ball once, but she still laughed from ear to ear.

“Mommy!” Nox kicked the ball toward the door, and when he saw Rosalie come out, the boy was startled.

As soon as Rosalie stepped out, a ball was flying toward her. she was stunned.

Seeing that the ball was about to hit her, a hand stretched out and pulled her from behind.

The ball brushed past her and fell to the ground.

Byron came out from behind Rosalie, looked at the dumbfounded little boys in the yard, and said solemnly, “Come in. It’s time for dinner.”

Then, Rosalie paused as she thought of something. She first looked at Estie beside her in a relenting manner, then turned and glared at the brothers disapprovingly. “How could you make Estie play soccer? She’s wearing a skirt, what if she falls down?”

Hearing what Mommy said, the two little guys looked at each other and scratched their noses with a guilty conscience.

Estie’s sweet little voice sounded aside, “They didn’t make me. I wanted to play!”
