Just then, Sabrina's phone rang again.
Spencer's voice traveled from the other end of the line. “Ms. Gray, no matter what happened, you must reach the public hearing venue right this instance. It's Mr. Nolan's orders.”
“But Mr. White...” Sabrina called out helplessly.
“This is an order! Follow it, or you'll bear the consequences!” Spencer's irritation was evident. What on earth are they doing? Just when everything is about to fall into place, they just have to mess everything up. Everyone is waiting, and they just won't show up. If anything goes awry, Mr. Nolan will be beside himself with anger.
Sabrina was so anxious that she was on the verge of tears.
What should we do now?
“Ms. Berry...”
She was torn between anger and anxiety, blaming herself entirely. The oversight happened because she hadn't effectively managed the team and kept an eye on the computer.
It was all her fault, and she was overwhelmed with guilt.
“Forget it. Let's head straight to the public hearing venue.” Ashlyn suddenly stood up and grabbed the laptop before saying, “We'll continue dealing with it on the way.”
Sabrina was taken aback. “We're leaving now?”
Ashlyn glanced at the anxious-looking Sabrina and said, “Yes, let's go.”
The moment she spoke, everyone swiftly rose from their seats, hastily gathering their belongings in preparation to depart.
Well aware of Ashlyn's swift and decisive character, Silas followed suit and exited the room.
On their way there, Ashlyn was still tirelessly trying to resolve the issue.
