Sadie deadpanned, “Be serious!”

“I‘m being honest, Ms. Wolfenden.”

Kayson‘s expression was utterly serious. “That‘s what he said. But I didn‘t agree to it immediately. Seth Jackson isn‘t exactly a good man.”

Sadie furrowed her brows. She was not buying what Kayson said at all and assumed that he was reluctant to tell her the truth, so she did not pursue it but asked, “ How did you get acquainted with Mr. Jackson?”

She had gotten a glimpse into the background and influence of the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce when she went out with Sia. Sia did not seem to mind talking to her, so she told her a lot of things—including how the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce was linked to plenty of business tycoons. If outsiders were intending to break into Skyspring, it would be much more convenient with the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce‘s help.

“Oh, I beat his son up,“answered Kayson.

Sadie rubbed between her brows, feeling an impending headache. “Can‘t you be more serious?”

‘Not like you‘ll believe it...Kayson felt speechless and told her instead, “I saved a relative of his before.”

Sadie nodded. See? Much more normal now!‘

“Mr. Jackson has the support of many tycoons. Some of them might be in construction. You ought to talk to him more often,” Sadie told Kayson and added, “There‘ll be a bonus if you do a good job. It‘ll be considered in your performance.”

Kayson‘s eyes sparkled. “Wonderful!”

Both of them returned home smoothly.

Seth, who had just resolved his conflict with Kayson and expressed his mind, heaved a long sigh after the couple left.

Zeke was afraid to face Kayson, so he only approached Seth after Kayson left.

“Mr. Jackson!”

Seth‘s gaze trailed after the voice, and he asked with a smile, “What can I help you with, Mr. Russell?”

Zeke only asked after he went closer, “You and Mr. Yarde

“I hope that you’re able to keep my meeting with Mr. Yarde tonight confidential,” Seth said impassively with a squint.

Zeke‘s heart gave a squeeze before he answered, “No

problem! Don‘t worry about it, Mr. Jackson!”

Seth replied emotionlessly, “I hope you keep your word, Mr. Russell. I‘m not someone great, but if you play me for a fool...

“Even if I have your whole family killed, Eden Joy won‘t possibly seek fault with me just because of you.”

There was a subtle change of expression on Zeke‘s face as he promised solemnly, “Don’t worry, Mr. Jackson. No other person will find out about your meeting with Mr. Yarde tonight!”

He did not doubt Seth‘s influence at all since the latter was the president of the Rivspring Chamber of Commerce . His status was parallel to that of Eden Joy‘s owner in Skyspring.

Seth‘s smile was friendly. “Thank you for hosting tonight, Mr. Russell. I‘ll be sure to host you another day.”

“No worries!” replied Zeke.

Seth and Lex left Moonly Olympus shortly, leaving Zeke in contemplation . The man sighed after some time. He was a higher–up in Eden Joy, but he still lacked in comparison to the core members.

He could guess why Seth was meeting Kayson, and of course, it was unnecessary to let outsiders know about these. Despite that, he had other ideas. If Seth had already begun approaching Kayson, should he do the

same?

Suddenly, he caught sight of Sia, who was nearby, and something clicked. Perhaps he did not have to do much intentionally. Sia was a good link in this case!
