Chapter 441 The Living Must Move on with Their Lives

Abbot's tone was so serious that Colin was stunned for several seconds.

After coming to his sense, Colin chuckled and asked, "What?"

Abbot coughed at the other end of the phone and said in an unnatural tone, "Rebecca had been crazily pursuing me recently. I'm considering if I should give her a chance as she's you and Faye's friend."

Colin asked teasingly, "Is Rebecca pursuing you crazily?"

Abbot replied, "Yep."

Colin teased, "Why didn't I hear about it before?"

Abbot replied, "How would you hear about this? Rebecca is a girl and she won't tell others about this. And I don't like showing off..."

Abbot suddenly paused and asked fretfully, "Should I give her a chance?'

Colin answered, "No need."

Abbot was dumbfounded for a second. Then he asked, "Why?"

Colin replied righteously, "We're brothers after all. How will I have the heart to let you sacrifice your rest life for my sake?"

Abbot was rendered speechless.

Colin leaned back in the chair after finishing those words and continued smilingly, "It doesn't matter. You don't have to be bothered. I know many excellent young men and I can introduce them to Rebecca later."

Abbot remained silent.

Not receiving any response from Abbot, Colin teased, "How did you feel when you heard that I would introduce Rebecca to others?"

Abbot said through gritted teeth, "I felt nothing."

Colin called his name, "Abbot."

Abbot replied in a sulky voice, "What's the matter?"

Colin sneered and said, "I like this aspect of you - you never say uncle."

Abbot took a deep breath and said, "I don't want to talk to you."

Then he directly ended the call without waiting for Colin's response.

Hearing the busy tone from the phone, Colin moved his phone to the front. It vibrated when he was about to put it into his pocket and a message popped out on the screen.

[Abbot] Which kind of pants will make one look young?

Colin curled up his thin lips into a smile and texted a message.

[Colin] Paper diaper.

[Abbot] Deliver my best wishes to your ancestors.

[Colin] Let them thank you in person.

[Abbot] ...

After that, Colin got out of the car with a smile and then took an elevator to the president's office.

In the PR Department...

Galen was reporting matters about a variety show to Faye with a worried look.

Galen replied with a nod, "Okay."

Tomorrow was Wednesday, the day when Fanny's grandmother would be buried.

Originally, she should have been buried earlier. However, many things happened during this period, plus Faye once promised Fanny that she would give her grandmother a grand funeral, so it was delayed until now.

Faye was the only one left in the office after Galen's leaving.

With her lips slightly pressed together, she pondered for several seconds and then picked up her phone to call Rex.

The music rang for several seconds before the call was answered. Then there came Rex's voice. "Ms. Nash."

As he was no longer Faye's subordinate, his voice sounded more natural than before.

Faye inhaled shallowly and said, "Fanny's grandmother's funeral will be held tomorrow. Will you come?"

Rex was dumbfounded for a second. Then he said smilingly, "Thank you."

Faye replied, "I'm sorry that it's been delayed for so long."

Rex said, "It's not that long. In our hometown, the coffin of the dead should be kept in the mourning hall before the burying."

Faye and Rex seldom talked before, but today, they rarely had chitchat.

None of them mentioned Fanny, but everything they talked about was about Fanny.

When ending the call with Rex, Faye clenched her phone tightly, leaned back against the chair, and pressed her lips into a straight line.

May the deceased rest in peace while the living must move on with their lives.
