Chapter 1178
Chapter 1178
Denton and Marlon were forcing Moira, a beautiful woman in her 40s, to kneel in a dimly lit
room.
Tension escalated as a stack of cash was thrown in her face.
They then began to pressure her to serve them. However, Moira refused, panic evident as she pointed toward the door.
She was clearly worried that someone was outside, her lips moving to say, “My daughter is here too. Don’t let her see this.”
But at that moment, no one was willing to listen to her. Marlon was solely focused on seeking pleasure and forced Moira down to her knees.
Denton appeared increasingly agitated as he watched the scene unfold. Moira struggled fiercely, using all her strength to push Marlon away.
She then opened the door and ran outside. In her haste, she accidentally tripped and fell down the stairs.
Skylar furrowed her brow at the vivid scene. Any woman witnessing this would feel a wave of discomfort. Some people, emboldened by their wealth, acted without regard for the wishes of
others.
As a daughter, seeking revenge for her mother was entirely justified. Besides, Ursula, who lost her mother, had experienced similar bullying at the hands of those two men.
Skylar took a deep breath.
As she prepared to leave, she told Vera to let Ursula contact her, mentioning that she knew the origin of the small pendant.
She was confident that when Ursula heard those words, she would seek her out. After Skylar’s car drove away, Vera went to find Ursula and relayed Skylar’s message.
Upon hearing Vera’s words, Ursula quickly lowered her head to conceal her startled
expression. Vera was preoccupied with her own thoughts and failed to notice Ursula’s change in demeanor.
She hurried upstairs to find Denton. She wanted to know what Denton and Marlon had done, She was curious about how Moira, who had worked in their household for 20 years, had fallen down the stairs.
After leaving Ruell Residence, Skylar drove down the road where she had eaten fondue with Natalie the day before.
Chapter 1178
Once she parked her car, she stood by the roadside, watching the flow of people and traffic.
The fleeting face she had glimpsed yesterday kept appearing in her mind. Although it had only been a casual glance, it had lodged itself in her memory.
The profile resembled Joe’s quite a bit.
The more she thought about it, the more striking the resemblance became.
Standing at the intersection, she quietly watched the changing red and green traffic lights. Everything around her seemed to grow quiet, leaving only the stream of vehicles in her view. She knew her actions might seem silly, but standing there brought her an inexplicable sense of peace. She continued to stand there until a phone call jolted her back to reality.
“Skye, are you coming home for dinner tonight?” Janine asked her.
She glanced at her watch and realized she had been standing there for an entire hour. Time had slipped away without her even noticing.
“Sure, I’ll head home now.‘
“Take your time on the road, drive slowly.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
