Kevin's question left Gloria stunned.
She suddenly realized how pitiful Kevin was. It would seem that Kevin himself didn't even recognize how obsessive he had become. He had spent his entire life trapped in this one matter.
Everyone else had moved forward, but only Kevin was stuck in the past.
Gloria restrained her anger for a moment, carefully observing Kevin. "Tell me what you want. I doubt you came here just to reminisce about the past. You must have a purpose."
Kevin quickly masked the hatred in his eyes.
"I'm sick and don't have long to live. Before I go, I want to meet the child that Viola raised, Skylar, right?" Kevin said.
Gloria immediately narrowed her eyes, scrutinizing Kevin with evident wariness. She didn't trust him, even suspecting his motives.
Why did he want to meet Skylar? Was it simply because she had been raised by Viola?
Kevin wasn't surprised to see the guarded look in Gloria's eyes. So, he continued, "If you let me meet her, I'll tell her where the remaining cursed artifacts are."
Gloria's brows furrowed even deeper.
"I can see your fate. You should have died two years ago, but you've managed to live until now. It's likely because of Skylar. She's really intriguing—just as extraordinary as Viola's choice," Kevin said with a smile.
Gloria's expression changed.
Edgar couldn't hold back anymore. "What nonsense are you spouting? Mrs. Martin Senior is perfectly fine! She'll live to be at least 100 years old!"

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
