"Report to the police?" Rosa laughed bitterly to herself.
She had indeed reported to the police, but it was only then that she realized how foolish she had been. If she had listened to Skylar back then, she could have stopped things before they got out of hand.
But her arrogance and her refusal to believe Skylar's warnings had led her down this painful path.
Simona found herself at a loss for words, unsure of what to say to Rosa. Initially, she had no good feelings toward Rosa because of her background. But now that she knew Rosa had been deceived by Stephen, she couldn't help but feel sympathy for her.
After all, anyone who encountered a person like Stephen would likely end up with nothing, just like Rosa. Simona considered herself lucky to have people like Skylar, Aiken, and Caleb around her.
If they hadn't been there at the crucial moment, she might have ended up like Rosa. Thinking of this, Simona could only try to console her, "It's not too late to see through him now."
Hearing her words, Rosa gave a bitter laugh. "Not too late? Do you think it's not too late? No, it's too late. I had the chance to avoid being deceived by him this badly, but I was too foolish. And Stephen… he's just too ruthless."
Simona didn't try to persuade her further. She had experienced the heartbreak of being deceived by Stephen, but it still couldn't compare to what Rosa had endured. Sometimes, no matter how much she tried to comfort or advise, certain things could only be faced by Rosa herself.
"I have class now, I have to go."
Rosa watched helplessly as Simona left.
For some reason, she felt a deep envy toward Simona for recognizing Stephen's true nature so early on. She felt as though fate had conspired against her, making her cross paths with someone like Stephen.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
