Skylar's heart raced. She said, "Steven, I have a few pressing matters that need handling. Joe is rather busy as well. We don't have time to visit Mom for now. Could you help me think of a reason to dissuade Mom from coming to see me?"
"Alright, I'll come up with something. However, you can't avoid this for long. How are you and Joe getting along?"
The undeniable truth was that Steven had gotten hurt by Annie. However, he'd overlooked something. He'd gotten hurt, but what about Skylar?
Would this affect her relationship with Joe?
Skylar's eyes darted toward the door. Then, she hummed gently and said, "We're getting along quite well. Don't worry about us, Steven."
"Alright. I've broken things off with Annie entirely. She won't be causing any more trouble. This had nothing to do with anyone else. I was too trusting. Although occasional hints revealed her true colors, I consciously ignored them.
"Skylar, stick together with Joe, alright? We'll go through all sorts of challenges throughout our lifetime. It's impossible to live a life of perpetual peace."
Skylar felt her heart skip a beat. Suddenly, she found an answer to the problem that had been gnawing at her. In the past, she'd been too paranoid.
"Yep, got it."
After they ended their call, Skyar opened her Instagram. There were no important messages.
Natalie and Austin were filming. They had probably been busy. Occasionally, they sent her a few pictures. Caleb had also sent her a few photos of his overseas trip.
Her lack of response didn't faze them; they knew she was probably busy.
Skylar then looked at her Amazon store. Janine could handle them by now.
She'd posted an announcement that she'd be busy and wasn't accepting appraisal requests as a result.
Skylar was relieved after looking through all of that.
Just as she put her phone down, the door opened. Alexander and Harry walked in. Tears welled up in their eyes upon seeing her.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
