Chapter 617
Maisy watched impassively as Kenny was tortured and beaten. It was retribution, a mirror reflecting her own suffering.
At dinner, Skylar and Joe discussed their upcoming visit to Yancey Residence.
Skylar was surprised at how quickly Joe agreed to the plan.
“Are you okay if it is set for this weekend?” Skylar checked the group chat. The weekend was when Steven, Charles, and Harvey would all be there.
Joe had no objections. He replied, “Sure.”
Skylar informed in the group chat that she would bring a guest and have an important announcement to make.
Steven was the first to respond. He simply welcomed the guest.
Janine and Charles were a bit puzzled about the situation. But everyone agreed in the group chat. No matter who Skylar brought home, they would all be welcomed.
Janine thought about preparing a special meal for the weekend. Skylar knew they would be curious about the guest.
Just then, the doorbell rang. Visitors were rare at the Galaxy Villa. The staff from Pearlhall Residence usually came during the day. Paul and Lucas typically waited outside for Joe.
Skylar looked at Joe. Joe, too, was perplexed. He went to the door.
Upon seeing the visitor on the intercom, his expression darkened.
“Who is it? Is it a friend of yours? Should I stay out of sight?” Skylar asked, setting her phone aside.
“No need. It’s just Jenny,” Joe said as he opened the door.
Skylar’s expression shifted slightly. “Jenny?”
“Yes.”
Jenny soon came into view. She sweetly greeted, “Joe. Skylar.”
Skylar nodded in acknowledgment.
“I was just visiting a friend nearby. I heard from Rowan that you two have been living at Galaxy Villa since your marriage, so I decided to drop by and visit you,” Jenny said.
Her familiarity with the villa’s layout hinted that she had visited before. She quickly changed into slippers and made her way inside, taking a seat directly on the couch.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
