Chapter 710
Jeremy returned to Hughes Residence after canceling all his appointments for the day. He tossed the divorce decree into a drawer, his expression darkening with each passing moment.
He leaned back in his chair, massaging his throbbing temples. The tension briefly subsided, but as he reopened the drawer and pulled out the decree, the word “divorce” glared up at him, making his lips press into a thin line.
The memory of the day they received their marriage certificate was still vivid. They had stood side by side, smiling at the camera, their happiness so palpable it was contagious.
Their future had seemed certain and unshakeable. But less than a year later, that certificate had been replaced with a divorce decree.
Suddenly, an idea came to him, and he dialed a number. “Keep investigating Austin,” he ordered. “I want everything–his past, secrets, any women involved with him.”
The divorce was a temporary inconvenience. Jeremy hadn’t intended to let Natalie go, and the divorce decree would eventually be swapped back for a marriage certificate.
Natalie was, and always would be, the only woman for him.
Natalie arrived at the event venue just as Austin was getting his hair and makeup done. On her way, she had picked up a few sugar–free chocolates, knowing Austin often went hours without eating whenever he had to attend such events. The chocolates would give him a quick energy boost to maintain his stamina.
Compared to female celebrities, male celebrities had it easier. Some of the women barely ate anything all day just to fit into their gowns, leaving them utterly exhausted by the end of the event.
Having not eaten much herself that afternoon, Natalie found a quiet spot to wait. She sipped on a soda and nibbled on a small slice of cake, trying to quell her own hunger.

At she was enjoying her cake, Hank walked in. He first exchanged a few words with Austin about some last–minute details, then casually sat beside Natalie.
440 reached for the soda she had set aside and took a sip.
The moment he tasted it, something clicked in his mind.
His eyes widened in shock as he turned to Natalie, astonishment all over his face. “Are you drinking soda? And eating cake?”
The two rapid–fire questions caught Austin’s attention. Austin glanced over at Natalie, his gaze darkening.
Natalie was bewildered. “What’s wrong with soda and cake?”
She’d done this before without as much as a raised eyebrow. Their current surprise was inexplicable. It was as if she had done something significant or inappropriate. She wondered if Hank was concerned that Austin might be tempted.
Natalie was puzzled. Austin had never shown interest in food, even when they weren’t attending events. She’d carefully selected items she knew he wouldn’t
consume.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
