Chapter 768
Skylar was overwhelmed by the flood of gossip and news, feeling powerless in the midst of it all. The thought of someone discussing true love as if it were priceless only deepened her dread.
Joe’s gaze darkened as he looked at Skylar. Do you want a divorce?”
Skylar smiled. “Isn’t that what you want?”
Her encounters with Vera had left her feeling stung by the woman’s open disdain. To Vera, Skylar likely appeared nothing more than a disgraceful mistress.
Joe’s expression hardened, and he said nothing as he dressed. Before leaving, he remarked, “We’ll discuss the divorce after the contract ends.”
Once Joe had gone, Janine knocked and entered the room. She asked cautiously,” Why did Joe leave so suddenly?”
Despite her inner turmoil, Skylar’s face remained impassive. “He had something urgent to attend to and won’t be back tonight. It’s late, so you should get some rest, Mom.”
Janine nodded but remained worried. “Be honest with me. Did you two have an argument? This visit feels different from the last one.”
Skylar admitted, “There have been some unpleasant moments, but it’s nothing serious. We’ll sort it out. Don’t worry, Mom.” Although she hadn’t anticipated Janine noticing, she chose not to deny it.
Reassured by Skylar’s openness, Janine felt better. She believed that newlyweds often faced adjustments and minor conflicts, which was normal.
“Alright, I’ll go rest. Remember, communication is key. Don’t let misunderstandings fester; even small ones can strain your relationship. I’ve been through it and
understand how important it is.”
Janine offered this heartfelt advice before heading to bed.
Skylar lay in bed, reflecting on Janine’s words. She realized that even minor misunderstandings could lead to more significant issues and recognized the need for a serious conversation with Joe. She planned to address things openly once they were back at the Galaxy Villa.

about half an hour before dinner began.
Edwin and Molly were unusually kind tonight, asking her many questions, which she answered honestly.
As dinner was wrapping up, Edwin inquired, “Did you have any boyfriends in college?”
Molly added with a smile, “With your looks, you must have had quite a few suitors in college.”
With a hint of blush, Jenny replied shyly, “No, I dedicated myself to my studies in college. While there were some who showed interest, I wasn’t interested in them. To me, no one else could compare to Joe.”
This was the truth. Compared to Joe, the boys at college seemed ordinary, and none could measure up to his level, let alone Rowan’s

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
