Caleb's tone was urgent as he spoke on the phone, "Finally, you called me back. I tried reaching you several times. I only realized this morning that you hadn't returned to the hotel.
"Where are you now? We have a flight at 3:00 pm today. I'll come find you."
Skylar briefly explained her situation with Joe, who were at a different hotel, and told Caleb to head straight to the airport, and that she would meet him there in the afternoon.
She then called Aiken.
Aiken didn't answer, likely because he was busy.
Skylar put her phone down and noticed Joe watching her.
"I'm planning to finish breakfast, then visit a nearby specialty store and head to the airport. You…"
Joe stared at her and replied, "I have a flight at 3:00 pm as well. We can go to the specialty store together later."
"Really?" Skylar was surprised.
Joe nodded. He had just overheard Skylar's conversation with Caleb and then instructed Paul to rearrange the flight reservation.
It was initially a flight two hours later but was changed to the same flight as Skylar's.
A few minutes later, Aiken called back.
Skylar put down her cutleries and answered the call.
"How is Mr. Martin?" Aiken asked directly about Joe's condition.
Joe's expression was cold, and his eyes were distant.
Aiken was already so impatient even though they had yet to divorce. Meanwhile, Skylar was smiling throughout her phone call with Aiken.
Deeply engrossed in her phone call with Aiken, Skylar didn't notice Joe's change in expression. "His fever has gone down. He's feeling better today."
"That's good. Make sure you take care of yourself as well. Call me if you need anything."
"Alright, thank you."
The call didn't last long.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
