Chapter 928
Paul’s question meant that he knew something. If that was the case, Joe definitely knew about it too.
Jenny’s panic right now was directly proportionate to how excited she’d been on the way here.
“I… I…”
Joe’s glared at her.
Her eyes turned red from pain. She said, “I–Sorry, Joe. Mr. Martin told me this fountain pen would repair your relationship with him. That’s why I put it in your office. He’d always wanted to get back to your good side, and he was very convincing.
“I honestly thought it was nothing more than a pen. I wasn’t expecting you to dislike it that much.”
“If it had been anyone else delivering the pen, I would’ve accepted this explanation. However, you knew about the conflict between Mr.
Martin and his father. The fact that you still sought Mr. Edwin out meant that you were harboring sinister intentions,” Paul pointed out the flaws in her argument without hesitation.
Jenny was pale as she begged, “That’s not the truth. I wasn’t thinking about all that, I wasn’t. Joe, please believe me, alright?”
“See her out,” Joe ordered icily.
With that, Jenny knew what he meant. All hope left her.
From today onward, she could no longer rely on Joe in Jipsbrug. He would never agree to meet with her again!
If Joe’s discovery of Jenny’s relationship with Edwin made him keep his distance, the fountain pen was the straw that broke the camel’s

back. It made her his enemy.
The fantasies she’d entertained during the journey here dissipated.
“Joe, I know I’ve made a mistake. I’ve learned from them now. I’ll
never do it again. Joe, please forgive me, alright?” Jenny begged through tears.
However, Joe remained unmoved.
Paul said stoically, “This way please, Ms. Scott.”
Jenny could only leave helplessly.
As she walked into the lift, Paul said, “You should rejoice in the fact that the fountain pen didn’t influence him too much. If not, you would pay for it with your life!”
“I–I’m a victim as well, Mr. Ziegler. It’s unfair to treat me like that,” Jenny argued.
Why did nobody believe her? So what if they forgave her this time?
Yet, Paul didn’t continue speaking to her. He ignored her entirely. Jenny could only leave unwillingly.
Just as she was knelt by the door bawling, Rowan called.
“Where are you?”
Jenny stopped crying and lied out of habit, “I’m shopping. Have you found a job? Should I invest in a new company for you? I’ve got
enough money to found a small work studio.”
She could only cling to Rowan with all her might.
All of Rowan’s cards had been barred. Yet, he couldn’t work at his family’s company. He had no money to start a company either, so he could only look for a job.
After a short moment of silence, he said, “No need. Keep your money.
I’m planning to co–found a company with my friend.”
Jenny replied, “Alright. Don’t tire yourself out. I’ll be worried. I’ll continue shopping.”
“Alright.”

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
