Chapter 991
Skylar had visited just a few days ago, so she easily found Natalie’s room.
After knocking twice, Skylar heard Natalle’s hoarse, sick voice. “Who is it?”
Natalie lay in bed lazily, feeling weak and drained. Just getting up to open the door seemed to exhaust
her.
She guessed whoever was knocking was probably a colleague. Some of her colleagues who couldn’t stay cooped up in the hotel had gone out to have fun. If she weren’t sick, she would have gone with them.
But she had been fine that morning. Who would have thought she’d be sick now?
“It’s me. Open the door.” Skylar’s voice came from the door.
Natalie’s eyes brightened. “Skylar?”
That voice was unmistakably Skylar! So, Natalie immediately dragged herself out of bed and walked over
to the door.
“My dear Skye! What are you doing here?”
When she opened the door and saw Skylar, tears of gratitude welled in Natalie’s eyes.
Skylar frowned as soon as she noticed Natalie’s pale face. “Have you taken your temperature? How about medicine? I have some with me. There should be some medicine for a cold.”
“No, I haven’t taken any. I think it’s just à common cold and fever. If I sleep it off, I’ll be fine by tomorrow.” Natalie hugged Skylar and leaned on her while slowly returning to the bed with Skylar’s support.
Skylar looked at her helplessly. “You couldn’t take care of yourself back in college, and you still can’t now? Do you have a thermometer?”
“Yeah, it’s in that small first–aid kit. I packed it for Mr. Powell, since he often gets injured. There’s a thermometer in there.” Natalie pointed to a small kit on the table.
Skylar found the thermometer and handed it to Natalie to place under her arm.
Though Natalie felt groggy, her mind was still clear. “Did something happen between you and Joe? Did he bully you?”
“There’s nothing between us. Even if something did happen, it wouldn’t matter. Don’t worry about me. What matters now is you. I think you might have a high fever based on what I’m feeling from your forehead.”
Skylar started rummaging through her bag. Sure enough, she found some medicine for fever.
But Natalie worriedly asked, “Are you sure nothing’s wrong?”
“What could be wrong? We didn’t marry for love in the first place. Now, let me see that thermometer.”
Natalie took out the thermometer and handed it to Skylar. Her lips twitched after checking the temperature. “102 degrees.”
“No wonder my head’s spinning and I feel so weak. Seems like I have a fever,” Natalie said, feeling a bit helpless about her own condition.
Her health was in such bad shape. She promised herself to start exercising once she got better.

The readers' comments on the novel: My Flash Romance With the Richest Mogul
Is the author going to finally portray Skylark as a brave woman who can argue and communicate like a normal person in this real world? Hoping so.......
I don't like this story portraying Skylark's personality as too weak, too naive, Can't even defend herself Like accepting every humiliation from Vera's schemes and injustice without saying anything or doing anything. I wonder who is the protagonist in this novel, Vera or Skylark....
