Genevieve took a bite and noticed that it had been cooked for too long. It was difficult to chew and didn't taste great.

She told Amanda to spit out the steak she was eating and said with a smile, “I followed the recipe when I was cooking, so I have no idea why it turned out like this. Let's just get takeout.”

The woman had only just gotten to the living room to get her phone when the doorbell rang.

Genevieve threw the meat she cooked into the trashcan. Then, she grabbed two bowls and filled them with chowder.
