Chapter 74 The Chairman Of Centurion Corporation
“I’m fine. Come inside and turn left,” Christopher said calmly.
As Christopher said nothing in response, Malcolm got so anxious that his forehead began to sweat bullets. That was because he had many years of experience as a boss under his belt. Otherwise, he would have trembled in fear.
When facing Christopher, Malcolm was just like any other ordinary man.
It did not take long before Amanda arrived at the scene and saw everybody, including Malcolm. Even though the two knew each other, Malcolm did not greet the woman because, with Christopher still around, he did not think it was appropriate to do so.
“Ms. Clark, take the child with you and wait for me outside.” Christopher then handed the still frightened Erisa to the secretary, who nodded in response before carrying the girl away.
“Erisa, you go with this nice lady and wait for me outside, okay? When I’m done here, we’ll go grab some yummies,” promised Christopher softly with a smile.
After Erisa agreed to leave, Amanda took her outside as instructed.
Malcolm only got more anxious after that, while the other men quaked in their boots.
“Who the heck is this guy?” Everyone was biting their nails nervously, including Amos and Lulu, who got so terrified that their knees turned weak.
Christopher waited until Amanda was far enough before shifting his attention back to the elderly man. “That man’s girlfriend hit my sister. What do you plan to do about that, Malcolm?”
Malcolm immediately popped a vein when he heard Christopher. So they’re the ones responsible for the mess we’re in! I don’t even know who they are!
“Don’t worry, Mr. Yaeger. I promise you I’ll take care of them. Just leave it to me,” responded Malcolm in a low voice.
Knowing how brutal and merciless Malcolm was, Amos and Lulu immediately got on their knees and begged pitifully for forgiveness. “We know what we did was wrong, and we’re terribly sorry for it, Mr. Yaeger. Please accept our apology, Sir!”
“Isn’t it a little too late for apologies now? I mean, you seemed pretty confident when you threatened me just now. What happened to that?” sneered Christopher.
“I was blind before, Mr. Yaeger. Please let me make it up to you with money! My family has a factory. I’ll just call my father and have him sell it.” Amos was horrified. He knew Malcolm would give him hell for what he had done.
“Money? Do I look like someone who needs money?” questioned Christopher rhetorically.
Malcolm, too, found it laughable that Amos made such an offer to Christopher, the boss of Centurion Corporation, who lacked anything but money. “Do you think Mr. Yaeger would be moved by that spare change of yours?” Malcolm ridiculed Amos.
“Please help us, Mr. Kirk. We’re sorry for what we’ve done,” pleaded Amos while holding on to Malcolm’s leg in tears.
Thud!
Malcolm did not hesitate at all before kicking Amos away from himself. He hated the two more than Christopher. They got my son involved, and if Mr. Yaeger was harmed in any way, we’d be in big trouble!
“Nobody can save you now.”
Malcolm’s harsh words immediately caused Amos and Lulu to spiral into despair. “This is all your fault!” roared Amos as he slapped Lulu before turning back to Malcolm. “Mr. Kirk, Lulu’s the one responsible. It has nothing to do with me.”
Christopher would rather not waste his time on the two, so he gestured for Malcolm to get rid of them. “Get these two out of my sight,” ordered Malcolm to his men.
Before long, two bodyguards walked in and dragged Amos and Lulu away.
The others trembled in fear, and when Christopher pointed at them, they instantly fell to their knees. Even Pierce dared not stay on his feet. He had no idea who Christopher was, but seeing how afraid Malcolm was was enough to convince him to kneel.
Malcolm could not help but be anxious because his son was among the crowd Christopher pointed at. If Christopher decided to punish Pierce, Malcolm would not dare to oppose the man. He’s the chairman of Centurion Corporation. How can I say no to him?
