My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2099

"Kylin, don't worry. I've thought things through this time. I won't do anything this crazy anymore." Yesseca understood what Kylin was trying to tell her. She took a deep breath and said, "From tomorrow onwards, I'll work hard to forget about the past. I'm going to start anew."

Kylin glanced at Yesseca and corrected her, "No, Yesseca, it should be from today onwards."

"That's right, from today onwards!" Yesseca agreed.

Kylin smiled.

He could sense that Yesseca was a little different now.

He had a feeling that Yesseca held a very strong desire to be free of her relationship.

It was a good thing to see.

"So, Yesseca." Kylin thought about it and asked carefully, "Do you want to tell Selina about your return to Agaphen City?"

Kylin had brought this up before but Yesseca had always given a firm no.

This time, however, she did not answer immediately but instead took time to ponder. After a while, she said, "You're right. Even if I could hide it from Selina and Matthew now, I wouldn't be able to hide it from them forever. I've decided to let them know."

Kylin breathed a sigh of relief.

Yesseca truly wanted to let go of things.

If she didn't, she wouldn't be bravely facing her problems and would run away from them like how she did in the past.

"But," Yesseca added, "I want to wait a little longer before letting them know. When I get better, I want to show Selina and Matthew that they don't need to worry about me."

"Please keep this a secret for me, just for now."

Kylin agreed without hesitation.

Preslie got home.

Sheldon just happened to get out of the bathroom. Naked.

Usually, when he was home alone, he wouldn't change his clothes in the toilet but in his bedroom instead.

When Preslie came over, he had changed that habit of his.

Sheldon thought Preslie wouldn't be back that day, which was why he didn't bring his clothes into the toilet. Just as he was about to cross the living room to get into his bedroom, the door to the house opened, and Preslie walked in.

Their eyes met.

They both froze for a second.

"Ahhhh!"

Two screams rang out.

One scream came from Preslie.

And the other was from Sheldon.

Preslie turned around to escape. Her heart was still pumping even when she entered the escalator.

Oh my god!

What had just happened?

She placed her hands to her beating chest.

The last time when she'd knocked on Sheldon's bedroom door, his pants had slid down and she saw what she shouldn't have seen.

This time, it was even worse. He wasn't even wearing pants.

From top to bottom, he was fully naked.

Preslie felt like her eyes were about to be infected.

With a ding, the elevator reached the ground floor.

Preslie ran out of the elevator.

The last time, when Sheldon's pants had slid down his waist, Preslie just acted as if nothing happened, but this time, she couldn't.

She just wanted to bury herself into a hole.

Preslie walked aimlessly around the neighborhood, not knowing where she was heading.

She had nowhere to go.

And she was embarrassed to go back home.

After all, she had just seen Sheldon wholly naked, so how could she go back?

Preslie finally found a place to rest after walking for so long.

She felt too embarrassed to pick up the call.

After the phone rang several times, she still didn't answer it.

After the fourth call, the phone stopped ringing.

She heaved a sigh of relief.

She figured Sheldon wouldn't call again.

Preslie wondered...

Also, why did he call just now?

Was he wondering why she wasn't back?

Preslie's heart started to pound again.

She knew it was late, but she was really too embarrassed to go back.

Staring at the phone for a while, she decided to send a message to Sheldon so that he wouldn't be worried.

She intended to tell Sheldon that she would not go back tonight.

It was just too embarrassing.

Just as she was about to send the message, Preslie stopped.

She wondered, where would she go if she didn't head back?

Maybe she could stay in a hotel?

However, she didn't have her ID card with her. How could she stay in a hotel?

Nashaland was a state with strict laws. Even small hotels could not be checked into without their ID cards.

Preslie looked into the dark night and wondered if she was going to spend the night sitting on this bench.

It made her heart beat faster.

The area she was in had good security so she had nothing to worry about. But sitting at the bench for a whole night would be bad for her butt. Plus, she hadn't even recovered from the fall. If she did spend the night out, she wouldn't be able to feel her butt tomorrow.
