Tremaine looked horrifically ruthless, "Qiana, there is a limit to my patience. If you don't tell me the truth..."
Tremaine left his words hanging.
However, it was precisely that, that it was more horrifying.
Qiana bit her lip hard. "Yesseca must've tattled, hadn't she? She's fooling you, Mr. Tremaine! I really am Montez's mother. I am entirely devoted to you."
Irony flashed across Tremaine's eyes.
He said, "Qiana, do you know when I started suspecting you?"
Cold!
Bone-chilling cold.
She felt as though she was dropped to a frozen wasteland with only a thin layer of clothing.
Qiana had no idea.
Tremaine had already suspected her then and had even investigated her since.
She actually foolishly thought Tremaine had fallen
in love with her since then.
How ridiculous!
How foolish!
She couldn't believe she was that foolish!
Now that it had come to this, she knew there was nothing she could say to defend herself anymore.
He must've figured everything out if he had started investigating since then.
It would be pointless for her to say anything else.
However...
Qiana clenched her fists.
