"Hi Yesseca, it's been a long time. How have you been?" Madam Quartley greeted Yesseca and observed her reactions closely at the same time.
It was obvious that Yesseca hadn't been living well ever since she left Tremaine's side.
She looked haggard and worn out.
Her appearance made Madam Quartley more confident about the negotiation.
It was obvious that Yesseca was unwilling to part with Tremaine in the first place. Otherwise, she wouldn't look as worn out as she was right now.
However, women were always more protective of their dignity than men. Therefore, it was understandable why she refused to get back with Tremaine even after he came to look for her.
Hence, Madam Quartley figured that if she, a well-respected woman, came to apologize personally to her, Yesseca would have no choice but to accept their request immediately.
Yesseca didn't say anything at all.
She looked at the two people standing in front of her with great distaste.
"And what's the reason for the both of you to be
here today?" Yesseca asked.
Madam Quartley didn't answer, while Yuliana sarcastically chimed in, "Oh, Yesseca, didn't you hear that Madam Quartley greeted you just now? It's fine if you didn't greet me, but shouldn't you be greeting Madam Quartley?!"
Yuliana deliberately said such words to provoke Madam Quartley. However, she did not expect Madam Quartley to stay calm.
She waved at Yuliana and said, "Forget it. It doesn't matter if she greets us or not."
Yuliana was speechless.
Since Madam Quartley had allowed it, she couldn't say anything else could she?
"Yesseca, I'm here on behalf of Tremaine," Madam Quartley went straight to the point.
