"Sis, Sis, where did you hear that from?" Rorita stammered.
"You didn't know about it?"
"No, I don't."
"Then it might be a surprise Mr. Tremaine had planned for you. I've heard from Dad that in his schedule for tomorrow, Mr. Tremaine had planned to attend the Lantern Festival with you."
Rorita's heart thumped as she was listening. At the same time, she felt a little dizzy.
Mr. Tremaine had always given her the cold shoulder, so why would he suddenly plan to attend the Lantern Festival with her?
Could it be...
She had never fought for anything. She would also tell Madam Quartley white lies to cover up for Mr. Tremaine. This was so Madam Quartley would not trouble Mr. Tremaine since she was under the impression that the both of them were on good terms.
Was Mr. Tremaine touched by her actions?
Was that why he planned to bring her along while he attended the Lantern Festival?
Although it didn't seem like it,
but what other reasons would there possibly be?
"I've told you before, Rorita. He would definitely fall in love with you after the both of you spend time together. I just never expect it to be this soon. You must grasp your opportunity well and make another step to further improve your relationship with him," said Weverly.
After her call with Weverly, Rorita was stunned for a moment. She then asked Lily to prepare the bath for her as she wanted to take a shower.
Rorita took a milk bath with petals.
After her shower, she asked Lily to do her makeup for her.
Lily was confused.
"Miss, Mr. Tremaine comes home late every night. You are already in bed at that time. He wouldn't be able to see your makeup," said Lily.
"Please put it on for me," Rorita insisted.
Lily had no choice but to help Rorita with her makeup. After Lily was done, Rorita looked into the mirror for a while and a faint smile appeared on her lips.
She looked so pretty.
"Since he's going to attend the Lantern Festival with me tomorrow, Tremaine will probably come home earlier tonight, won't he?" Rorita thought to herself.
That night, Rorita did not turn off the lights and go to bed early as usual.
Instead, she sat on the bed and waited.
Time ticked by.
Tremaine was not back yet.
Rorita continued to wait for him.
At midnight, the door of the bedroom was finally pushed open.
As he saw the room with the lights turned on, Tremaine was taken aback for a short while.
Usually, the bedroom lights would have been turned off by the time he was back.
As he subconsciously turned to look at the bed, he found out that Rorita wasn't asleep yet. She was sitting on the bed.
Tremaine was the type of guy who wouldn't notice a female's makeup unless it was a heavy one.
Since Rorita had only put on light makeup, hence Tremaine didn't notice her effort at all.
He frowned and said in a cold voice, "Go to sleep. I'm turning off the lights."
Rorita was confused.
She thought that Tremaine would tell her something when he came back, but she didn't expect that he would directly turn off the light and go to bed.
"Wait... Mr. Tremaine," Rorita suddenly shouted as she saw that Tremaine was about to turn off the light.
Tremaine looked at Rorita impatiently.
"Mr. Tremaine, are you going to bring me along when you attend the Lantern Festival tomorrow?" asked Rorita as she gathered up her courage.
Tremaine looked at her sharply. "How do you know?"
"I... I heard about it." Rorita felt a little uneasy as she saw Tremaine's cold stares.
"Yes," said Tremaine. "This is your duty as the First Lady of Nashaland. You must pay for the glory of marrying me. Hence, it's your responsibility to accompany me to other countries."
"I... I understand. I'm really happy to be able to travel with you," said Rorita as she looked away.
Tremaine didn't say any further and just turned the lights off.
It was gradually getting late at night.
However, both of them couldn't fall asleep.
It was seven in the evening.
Tremaine had arrived at Agaphen City along with Rorita.
This was the first time that Tremaine and Rorita had gone out together.
It was also the first time that Rorita had appeared in front of the public as the First Lady of Nashaland.
Rorita was dressed in traditional clothing. Her black hair was tied up high, giving off a noble aura.
As she was accompanying Tremaine, she always remained a modest and polite smile. She had presented herself in such an impeccable manner.
This was how the First Lady of Nashaland should look like.
Soon, Tremaine, Rorita, and the mayor of the local government in Agaphen City got into a flower carriage.
This unique flower carriage would be used as they held their parade in the whole Agaphen City.
Meanwhile, the citizens of Agaphen City gradually filled the street.
The citizens only found out about the news as they arrived at the street.
The important guests for the Lantern Festival that night were none other than the President and his wife of the Nashaland.
The crowd burst into an uproar.
"Oh my god, it's the President of Nashaland! I thought it would be a celebrity! I never expected it to be the President!"
"I knew he wasn't a celebrity from the beginning! After all, it was said to be a very important guest! However, I did not expect it to be the President of Nashaland too! He even brought his wife along with him."
"The President of the Nashaland had just married not long ago. He's already bringing his wife out in public, which means that he really loves her, doesn't he?"
When Preslie and Yesseca heard about the guests being Tremaine and his wife, they were in absolute shock.
Preslie was dumbstruck.
She had never expected it to be Tremaine!
After all, it seemed impossible for him to visit Agaphen City for the Lantern Festival, given the past relationship between him and Yesseca. Furthermore, he had brought his wife along with him!
What was Tremaine thinking?
Yesseca, who was beside Preslie, was also shocked.
She had never expected that the guest would be Tremaine.
