She pulled Yesseca's hand and said again, "Yesseca, you still have to hold me. I drank too much. If you don't hold me, I will fall!"
Yesseca did not reply.
The pain in her heart did not stop.
The pain she felt was unprecedented.
At first, the pain she felt was just a mental one.
However, it was real now.
It hurt so much that dense beads of sweat began to form on Yesseca's forehead.
When Preslie saw her doubled over, she cried in a panic, "Yesseca, aren't we going home? What happened?"
Yesseca heaved in a deep breath.
The pain she felt seemed to ease a little.
Yesseca used all of her strength to speak, "Come on, let's go home."
Yesseca did not sleep much that night.
The pain in her heart would wake her up suddenly in the middle of the night.
It only subsided when dawn came. Yesseca was too tired, so she fell asleep. Who knew that Preslie woke her up only after she had two hours of sleep.
They needed to depart to the United States.
Yesseca resisted the pain as she went to the airport with Preslie.
The plane flew for the whole night before they landed in the United States.
When they arrived, they did not have time to rest at all. They needed to attend the award ceremony at once.
Throughout the journey, Yesseca did not feel any better at all. Her heart would ache from time to time.
However, Yesseca still managed to hold the pain in.
She knew that she could not miss out on this award ceremony.
