Thankfully, Tremaine continued working on his desk like normal. Nothing strange had happened.
Sheldon breathed out a sigh of relief.
He wondered, had the president gotten over it?
Just then, his phone started ringing.
Sheldon quickly moved aside and answered it.
Preslie was calling.
Preslie had called to ask if Tremaine had gone back to Nashaland.
After Sheldon replied, Preslie sighed out in relief and said, "Thank goodness he's gone back to Nashaland. I was worried he would come to see Yesseca again, which would only aggravate her. She won't get to enjoy the last few days of her life in peace if he did.
Sheldon felt uncomfortable when Preslie spoke about the president like this.
He quickly said, "The president didn't mean to aggravate Yesseca when he went so her. He didn't know she would have reacted like that. That's why when he learned about it, he quickly made his back to Nashaland."
Preslie could tell that Sheldon was unhappy.
She quickly clarified, "Mr. Hawls, that's not what I meant. I know that Tremaine means well for Yesseca. Even though I am biased against him, I have noticed in these past few days that he is still very much in love with her."
Otherwise, half of the hair on his head wouldn't have turned white overnight.
Sheldon kept quiet, he felt very conflicted.
The president still loved Yesseca very much.
But they couldn't be together in the end.
Firstly, they broke up because of a misunderstanding.
Then when they moved on, such a terrible thing happened to Yesseca.
Sheldon was certain that after Yesseca died, Tremaine would live in pain for the rest of his life.
"Preslie. Take good care of her." Sheldon continued, "Please help make her happy with what little time she has left."
"I know." Preslie replied, "You as well. Please do all you can to look after Tremaine. Yesseca doesn't want him to be sad either."
After he hung up, Sheldon felt sad.
