"Mr.Tremaine, do you really think it's a good idea to hide away from the world after Miss Cowell's death? Or do you think that Miss Cowell would want you to do this?"
"If you don't know, then I can tell you with utmost certainty that Miss Cowell would absolutely not want you to do this! Because the Miss Cowell I know is a kind and honest woman. Even if she had broken up with you, she won't want you to live a bad life. She will certainly hope that after she dies, you can live well!"
However, even after Sheldon had come out with a bunch of reasons, Tremaine seemed unmoved.
He just waved his hand, a pinch of weariness between his brows. "All right, you've already said what you want to say. Now, leave, I still have work to deal with."
"Mr. Tremaine!"
"Ding ding ding."
All of a sudden, a ringtone sounded rapidly through the air. Tremaine answered his phone, his expression changing instantly when he heard.
It was a call from someone from the palace. They told him that Madam Quartley was going to commit suicide.
Tremaine arrived at the Quartley Palace as fast as he could.
Yuliana was there to greet him before he could even see his grandmother.
"Oh, Tremaine," Yuliana weeped as she wiped away her tears. "Grandma just couldn't accept the fact that you wanted to abdicate. No matter how much I persuaded her, it was no use. In the end, I intended to let her rest and left. But who would have thought that she would retrieve a bottle of paraquat from somewhere and proclaim that if you wanted to abdicate, then it would be better for her to die!"
Tremaine's heart sank when he heard this.
Paraquat!
His grandmother would go so far as to use this item!
Paraquat was a colorless and tasteless chemical, but just one sip could kill people!
The most terrifying thing of it all was that there was no antidote for this.
