"Despite that, I do feel guilty towards you. I know that you hoped that I'd become a good president, that I would be able to go down in Nashaland's history. But Grandma, I can't do it."
"The moment Yesseca dies, my heart will be gone with her. Even if I don't abdicate, I wouldn't be able to contribute any meritorious deeds for Nashaland, not as a man who's dead in the heart. Since that's the case, I should hand over the presidency position to a more suitable person."
"Grandmother, please make this allowance for me, I will make amends to you."
"Bam!"
"Bam! Bam!"
"Bam! Bam! Bam!"
These were the sounds of Tremaine's head as he repeatedly knocked it to the ground.
Madam Quartley's heart was full of despair.
This was her most prideful grandson!
But now, he had actually kneeled and kowtowed of his volition!
What was he doing all this for?
Was it worth it for that woman?
His future, his family, all of it cast aside without a care!
He even let go of his dignity to kneel and kowtow to this old lady!
When she saw that Tremaine had knocked his forehead until it bled, Madam Quartley couldn't stand it anymore.
She threw away the medicine in her hand and immediately pulled her grandson into a hug.
Tears flowed out from her murky eyes as she soothed, "Tremaine, I won't force you anymore. Just do whatever you want. I won't force you anymore."
Yuliana had no idea what exactly Tremaine had said to Madam Quartley, but she actually compromised!
She was shocked and furious.
This Madam Quartley! How could she compromise!?
Didn't she know that the reason they could live such a wonderful life was because of Tremaine?
If Tremaine was no longer in office, where else could they spend their days far above the masses who respected and sought after them?!
Yuliana went to find Madam Quartley once more for another round of words to stir her into action.
