At first, Preslie cracked some jokes which made Yesseca laugh non-stop when she heard it.
After all the jokes were exhausted, Preslie then pulled Selina to act out a sketch that left Yesseca in stitches.
Kylin and Matthew also dropped by every day.
Every time they visit, they were all smiles as they engaged Yesseca in small talk.
Topics that ranged from Kylin's work which had gotten smoother to Matthew's company whose performance had improved.
Yesseca was extremely happy for them when she heard this.
That day, Ruth also came to visit.
When she arrived at the ward's threshold, she heard the sound of laughter.
Ruth was stunned, then immediately peeked inside.
She saw Preslie had donned on a yellow wig while she talked energetically about something. Yesseca, on the other hand, was leaning against Selina's shoulder in helpless laughter.
Ruth's heart leaped in delight.
Why was everyone this happy? Was it because Yesseca's condition had gotten better?
After she entered and exchanged a few pleasantries, Ruth hurriedly tugged Preslie out of the room.
Her head was still covered with the wig, which made for an absolutely comical sight.
Ruth hastily asked her, "Preslie, how come you're all full of cheer and laughter? Is it because Yesseca's condition had taken a good turn? Is Yesseca going to live?"
Preslie shook her head.
"Not at all!" she replied. "Yesseca only had a few days left."
Ruth's vision darkened.
