My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2494

"We broke up, just like that. But I've never forgotten her. I live a very sad life now. The only thing that helps me through the sadness is playing my cello."

"How long has it been?" Rorita asked.

The man didn't seem to understand. "How long has it been?"

"How long has it been since you broke up with the woman you love?"

"Twenty years and twenty-five days." The man then said, "You're probably wondering how I've kept track, aren't you? It's because ever since we broke up, every day feels like a whole year to me."

The man looked up at the sky and sighed, "This life of mine is much too long. I still have so many more years left to live. There's nothing I can do about it."

He shrugged his shoulders and put his lips close to Rorita's ear. "Miss, you must earn the love of that man. Otherwise, you'll live out the rest of your life like me."

Rorita was shocked.

"Will it really hurt for the rest of my life?" She

asked.

"It will, I promise you." The man said with certainty, "If you really love him."

Rorita felt like a stone had been tossed into the calm pool of her heart. A mass of ripples cut through the calm waters of her heart.

The thought of it caused her heart to waver.

In Nashaland.

Tremaine and Rorita had returned.

When they parted ways, Rorita said, "Sir, I've never regretted getting to know you."

Tremaine had a conflicted look on his face.

He wanted to say something, but couldn't say anything to her.

Rorita smiled. "Please remember sir, that the decision I've made is the right one for me. I don't regret it at all."

The night grew darker.

Selina, Matthew, Kyi in and Preslie all left the hospital and returned to their homes.
