Some people couldn't stand it and said, "But she's your daughter. How could you call her that?"
The woman looked indifferent.
Daughter?
Dory wasn't even her daughter.
A mysterious woman gave Dory to her.
The woman paid her to raise Dory.
At that time, she was happy because of the money so she treated Dory well.
But she spent all the money.
The mysterious woman also disappeared.
She lost her patience for Dory.
She would have left Dory if Dory wasn't so sensible at such a young age and would help her with chores.
"She's not my daughter. I found her somewhere," she explained in a calm tone as she played her cards.
Everyone thought that the woman was lying.
After all, her actions didn't make her seem like someone who would be so kind.
She must have had Dory from a one-night stand.
"Aimeen, treat your daughter better. She's a great kid. Look at all the other kids her age. She's the most mature and sensible one," someone said.
"That's right. And she's pretty."
Aimeen sneered, "How could you tell that she's pretty when she's so young?"
"Why not? It's just as simple as that. Maybe she will give you a good life when she grows up," another person said.
Hearing that, Aimeen was tempted.
Dory came to her mind.
Dory had fair skin, huge eyes, thick lashes. Even though she was so young, she had a sharp nose.
A thought came to her mind.
That was right!
If it hadn't been for the reminder, Aimeen wouldn't have thought of it.
