My Heart only Beats for You (Natalie Godfrey) novel Chapter 2609

Madam Quartley remembered who that name belonged to.

She asked, "Isn't she the wife of the richest man in Nashaland?"

Yuliana hadn't expected Madam Quartley to know who she was.

She stammered, "Yes."

Madam Quartley's face darkened.

However, her face softened when she looked at Yuliana.

She then advised her, "Yuliana, you shouldn't get too close with the wives of these rich people. They may appear nice and friendly, but they will most certainly use you for their own benefit."

Yuliana assumed that Madam Quartley was worrying for nothing.

Did Madam Quartley take her for a fool?

Could they even take advantage of her if they wanted to?

She was certain that Riesa was trying to curry favor with her.

But Riesa wouldn't be so bold as to take

advantage of her.

Besides, Riesa was nothing compared to her.

Yuliana quickly replied, "Grandmother, you worry too much. Riesa and I have been friends for a very long time now. We're just two women who share a lot of similar interests. That's all."

Madam Quartley still had a bad feeling about this.

Normally, she wouldn't have allowed Yuliana to go and see that woman.

But then, she considered the baby Yuliana was pregnant with and allowed her to go.

Since Yuliana was pregnant, keeping her happy was a priority.

"Alright, you may go then. But keep the details of your pregnancy private." Madam Quarltey warned.

"I know. Don't worry, grandmother."

Since Yuliana promised not to tell her and seemed to be quite level-headed, Madam Quartley gave her permission.

As soon as Yuliana left the Quartley Palace, she contacted Riesa.

Riesa added, "I'm always happy to help you Yuliana."

This pleased Yuliana a lot.

She smiled and said, "When I get the chance, I'll be sure to put in a good word about your husband to the president."

"Oh thank you so much Yuliana!" Riesa thanked her profusely.

Riesa's expression changed dramatically after she ended the call.

She glared sinisterly.

Heh!

She'd put in a good word to the president when she gets the chance?

She had accomplished so many things by herself. Why would she need an empty sentiment like that?

Yuliana, such a daydreamed

She had accomplished so much, and they weren't trivial ones for that matter!
