My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 107

Chapter 107

In the morning light, Esther looked gorgeous, like a fairy fallen to earth. She lowered her starry gaze and replied sweetly, “Felix, blow on it, and Mommy won’t feel pain anymore.”

Felix obediently blew on her blister for a while before Esther fed him broccoli. Felix opened his mouth and had a satisfied expression.

When Bradley came out of the shower, he saw Esther and Felix feeding each other in the morning glow. He turned around in confusion and changed into a suit.

While he was tying his tie, Esther approached him, extending her slender fingers and skillfully helping him with the tie. The sudden intimacy from Esther made Bradley’s body stiffen.

After Esther finished tying the tie attentively, she suddenly reached out and hugged Bradley on the waist, burying her head in his chest. She could hear the man’s heartbeat next to her ear.

“Darling, let’s not argue anymore, okay?” she asked.

Bradley’s heart began to race uncontrollably. It felt as if the blood in his body was boiling. He lowered his head and looked at Esther, who was embracing him tightly. At that moment, as he gazed at the top of her head, unfamiliar yet strangely intimate images flashed involuntarily in the depths of his mind.

Feeling like he had been electrocuted, he pushed Esther away, grabbed a towel, and covered his arm to conceal his embarrassment.

“Esther, don’t call me darling,” he said.

Bradley’s ears had turned red with embarrassment.

Esther looked at him tearfully, standing there at a loss like a child who had done something wrong. A tear rolled down her eye and fell onto the small red mole on her collarbone.

“Bradley, I… I think there’s something wrong with my brain,” Esther said pitifully. “I seem to have forgotten a lot of things, but darling, I don’t want to be separated from you. Can we start over, please?”

Bradley felt a dryness in his mouth, suddenly at a loss facing Esther in this state. From a rational standpoint, he should cruelly and coldly tell Esther all the truth. He should tell her that they were not husband and wife, but enemies, that there were two lives between them, that there was deep-seated enmity between them.

For some reason, he could not bring himself to say it. Although the current Esther seemed at little crazy and unpredictable, he felt grateful that she could live like a regular person compared to when she was hanging between life and death in the ICU.

Bradley’s temples throbbed painfully. “Esther, there’s no possibility for us to start over.”

Bradley thought that if his grandfather were still alive, if none of the things from the past had happened, he would be willing to be a regular husband and wife with Esther. After all, their fates had been intertwined very early on. She had already saved his life when she was still a

child.
