Chapter 266
Shane gnashed his teeth tightly and admitted, “Mr. Warner, I asked them to kidnap Esther, but only to prevent her from attending the wedding. I never intended to harm your son or have him kidnapped.”
Bradley snapped his fingers in the air, signaling Kevin.
“Kevin.”
Understanding the signal, Kevin pressed a button, causing Ben to plummet rapidly in mid-air.
“Ben!”
“Son!”
Shane and Jessica screamed simultaneously.
Casually leaning back in his chair, Bradley noticed Esther trembling beside him and reached. out to hold her hand.
“Mr. Hoyer, we all know why you ordered Esther’s kidnapping!” Bradley’s cold gaze fixed on Shane’s contemptible face. His thin lips curled slightly as he spoke. “I’ll give you one last chance. If you refuse to tell the truth, I won’t hesitate to let your son fall into the depths of the sea.”
A shiver ran down Shane’s spine as he nervously glanced at his son. He closed his eyes briefly, then reopened them to face Bradley and Esther.
“Mr. Warner, will you release my son if I admit to everything?”
Bradley clapped his hands lightly and retorted arrogantly, “Shane, you have no right to negotiate with me.”
“You…” Shane’s voice trailed off before speaking softly after a long pause. “Yes, the ultimate purpose of kidnapping Esther was to obtain her heart!”
As Shane confessed, Ben, who was hanging in the air, struggled desperately.
‘Dad, no!
‘You’re lying, right?
‘She’s still alive. How could you take her heart!?’
Shane dared not meet his son’s gaze and pleaded earnestly, “Mr. Warner, I did everything, but it has nothing to do with my son. Please… let him go!”
Shane, who had always been ruthless, knelt before Bradley to save his son.
“Mr. Hoyer, my heart is perfectly fine, but you insist on forcibly taking it to give to Liliane. Is it simply because she’s your daughter?”
