"Tell me, whose child are you f*cking carrying?" Chadwick snarled.
The young girl, Jolene Moss, pushed Chadwick away defiantly, acting insolently. "Who are you? Why should you care whose child I'm carrying?"
"Mr. Pendleton! Mr. Pendleton, let's talk calmly," a doctor who clearly knew them both gently advised Chadwick.
Chadwick grabbed Jolene's chin, his bloodshot eyes filled with blazing anger. "Tell me, or else!"
The unyielding Jolene retorted, "What's so great about grabbing my face? Choke me if you can! I don't want to live anyway! I don't want to live anymore! Come on, do it, strangle me if you dare!"
Esther was bewildered by the unfolding situation before her.
Chadwick couldn't help but chuckle before he impulsively slapped Jolene. Her face swelled instantly, and she shot Chadwick a jealous, resentful look.
"What's it to you?" she barked, her tone heavy with envy. "I'm willing to abandon everything. I'm not worth much! I—"
Upon hearing her words, Chadwick slapped her again and demanded, "Speak up! Who's responsible for your pregnancy?"
Jolene scoffed and replied, "I don't know! I have no idea who it is!"
Chadwick clenched his teeth and hissed. "Fine then."
"Since you're getting married anyway, why should you care if I live or die? It's none of your business!"
With that, Jolene walked away.
Chadwick violently grabbed her hair, his teeth gritted, and ordered her, "Abort it!"
