In response, Kevin asked, "What does she owe you?"
Bradley's gaze fixed on Esther's extensive medical records. His expression was chilling as he uttered, "She owes me a life without her involvement."
Esther had disrupted his life recklessly, causing it to take a drastic turn. She had pushed him into this solitary state. Now, she even contemplated ending it all. He wouldn't allow it. Absolutely not!
"Unfortunately, time can't be turned back."
Kevin recalled the novel he had just finished. If time could reverse, and Esther could return to 18, her life would have been vastly different if she hadn't fallen for Bradley but had chosen to be with Jasper, who truly loved her.
"Bradley, I understand your resentment toward Mr. Thomas for pushing you and Esther together. But have you ever considered that your lack of decisiveness at the start played a role in this?
"If you had firmly refused to go along, Mr. Thomas wouldn't have pressured you.
"You could have told him you didn't love Esther, that you wouldn't love her then or in the future. You could have remained her friend, not her husband."
"Kevin!" Bradley's cold stare silenced the chattering Kevin. "I want Esther to live."
Kevin whispered, "The moment you used your own daughters to force Esther into submission, you no longer deserved to be by her side."
Bradley paid Kevin no mind and returned to Esther's ward.
Outside, a group of hired mercenaries still stood guard. Upon seeing Bradley, they instinctively prepared for a potential confrontation.
At that moment, Oliver entered the room with an elderly man, his hair completely white.
