When Agatha emerged after changing, she found Esther and Jasper engrossed in conversation. "Esther, Jasper, what are you discussing?"
Jasper spoke clearly. "Dr. Foster, Esther and I were talking about the car accident. After I drop you and Esther at Primus Mansion, I plan to visit the detention center to inquire about the driver involved."
"Okay."
Agatha and Esther got into the car. Agatha observed carefully. Despite Esther's recent car accident, she didn't seem overly frightened. As Esther's mentor and physician, she understood her condition well. She also worried that any additional psychological distress could have serious consequences.
"Esther, I need to discuss something with you," Agatha said.
With Agatha bringing up the topic, Esther looked at her seriously and asked, "What is it?"
"After your official divorce from Bradley tomorrow, I'm planning to go abroad," Agatha said.
Esther was mildly surprised. "Oh, you're going abroad?"
"Yes, Jacob's illness requires my presence." Agatha continued. "And it won't help Felix's recovery if he stays here. Going abroad seems like a better choice—it'll provide a new environment for Felix's treatment and give you a change of scenery."
"But what about Clark?"
Esther considered how Clark had been in the accident because of her. What would happen to Clark if they left?
"If I remember correctly, Clark's children are abroad. Let Clark undergo treatment abroad," Agatha suggested.
Esther nodded gently and said, "I'll follow your advice."
Agatha smiled, gently stroking Esther's hair with a loving gaze tinged with sorrow. She hadn't initially understood why she was so invested in Esther. Only when Oliver found her, she realized Esther was Faye's daughter. It made sense—she saw a familiar shadow in Esther. She just never imagined that Esther would be Faye's daughter.
Back in the day, she had wanted Faye to follow in her footsteps and learn the art of medicine. She had never encountered such an intelligent child as Faye.
