My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 816

Hank closed his eyes. After a moment of silence, he opened them, fixing Bradley with an expression of determined resignation. "You love her."

As Hank uttered those three words, the invisible fear that had held him seemed to vanish instantly.

"Mr. Warner, love is the most inexplicable emotion in the world. Two strangers can become the closest people in the world, and the actions of the other person can stir your heart."

"Based on my psychological assessment of you, you love Esther, or at the very least, she is the most important woman in your life."

"You—"

Bradley stood up, his cold gaze locked onto Hank's serious face. "It's impossible! I can't possibly love Esther!"

Hank was slightly taken aback but maintained a calm tone. "Mr. Warner, I don't understand why you refuse to admit your love for Esther, but all your actions indicate that you do love her. Because you love her, you have a strong possessiveness toward her. Because you love her, you wanted to keep her by your side forever. Because you love her, you thought you were betrayed"

"Mr. Warner, loving someone is nothing to be ashamed of! Admitting your love is not—"

Before Hank could finish, Bradley yanked the door open and left, ignoring Hank's calls.

"Mr. Warner!

Bradley didn't respond, so Hank had no choice but to call Kevin.

Kevin intercepted Bradley in the hospital garden.

"Bradley, what's wrong? Did the psychologist hit the nail on the head with your secret, and you're reacting in anger?" Kevin's gaze was mocking.

"Do you know what the saddest thing in the world is? It's not that you love someone and you don't know it! It's that you love them, but they're no longer in this world!

The sea breeze ruffled Bradley's silver-gray hair, and his hair gently danced in the wind. He gazed at the cliff, his mind filled with the tragic scene of the car tumbling off the edge.

He wondered...

If only time could be turned back, he wouldn't have collided with Esther's car.

If only time could be turned back, he would have risked his own life to prevent Esther's death.

An emotion known as "heartache" spread from the depths of his heart.

Did he love Esther?

Even though he was convinced that he didn't love Esther, why did everyone keep saying that he did?
