My Husband Wants Me Dead (Esther and Bradley) novel Chapter 827

Agatha paused, her concern evident as she left Esther's bedroom. Her temples throbbed, aching from the recent events.

This child truly worried her. In the past, when she was powerless and tormented by Bradley, Agatha's concern had been palpable. But now, Esther's inclination toward violence and even killing was deeply troubling.

Regret gnawed at Agatha. She realized that inducing a new personality in Esther may not have been the right choice. Instead, she should have helped her forget Bradley. She feared that mere forgetfulness wouldn't protect Esther from Bradley's potential harm.

With a heavy sigh, Agatha grappled with her own helplessness. She wasn't sure if her actions had been in Esther's best interest.

Esther neatly hung her clothes back from the suitcase and sat on the couch. She held her tablet, scouring the Internet for information about Esther and Bradley. Clicking from one link to another, she continued her search until darkness descended. That's when Agatha knocked on her door.

"Esther, it's time for dinner downstairs."

Esther approached Agatha and asked, "Grandma Foster, did he really imprison my sister?"

Agatha nodded solemnly. "Yes. I heard he had a secret room with a crystal coffin inside."

These were not fabrications—they were based on real events.

Esther's disbelief was evident. "Does he have no regard for the law at all?"

Agatha gazed at Esther and spoke gently. "To some people, the law is just a tool. Your Uncle Oliver and Grandpa Gabriel tried to save her, but she was hidden away. How could they possibly find her? He was convinced that no one could ever locate her."

Esther asserted, "I want to learn martial arts."
