Logan smirked, earnestly asking, "What's wrong with being single?"
Esther looked at him and hesitated before asking, "Have you never been in a relationship or had feelings for anyone until now?"
"Is there a problem?" Logan countered.
Esther tilted her head, curiously studying Logan. He was incredibly handsome and surpassed even the celebrities in the entertainment industry. His prestigious background made it impossible for no girl to like him.
"You couldn't possibly have never received a love letter before?"
Logan recollected the love letters he had received during his school days. "I have."
"And then?"
"I threw them in the trash."
Esther looked at Logan in disbelief, thinking he was truly a loggerhead.
Since Esther had finished washing up, Logan grabbed a hoodie and pushed her in her wheelchair to the hospital rooftop.
The sunrise was still some time away, leaving the sky pitch black.
"What's there to see in the sunrise?" Esther wrapped herself in a thin blanket, gazing reluctantly at the horizon.
"The sunrise signifies the start of a new day, a symbol of hope."
Esther couldn't understand Logan. They lacked any romantic inclination, so why did he bring her to watch the sunrise? He had even said it was an order!
Esther wasn't particularly thrilled, but having washed her face, she wasn't sleepy either. She could only accompany him and watch the eastern horizon.
A bright light tore through the pitch-black night sky, an orange glow emerging from the horizon. The stunning colors painted the entire sky in a magnificent hue that words couldn't capture.
From casual indifference, Esther became attentive. The beautiful sunrise reflected in her stunning eyes, and the radiant light seemed to bestow upon her a sacred aura.
