Liam ignored Zachary. He carried Jovie in one hand and held a wooden stick that came out of nowhere with the other hand.

He lowered his head and said to Jovie gently, "Jovie, be a good girl and close your eyes. I will play a game with you! If you win, then I will buy you cakes! But, you're not allowed to open your eyes, or else there will be no reward for you!"

At the mention of food, Jovie was no longer scared. She held onto Liam's neck obediently, closed her eyes, and agreed, "Dad, I got it! I want cake!"

Liam's actions had completely enraged Zachary. Liam actually dared to be so stubborn.

Zachary pointed at Liam angrily and yelled, "Go! All of you, go! Kill him! Fuck you, how dare you still pretend like you're something!"

In that instant, all the fighters surrounding them attacked with vicious expressions. They raised their weapons and bellowed as they ran toward Liam.

Liam stood in the center of the crowd, his frightening force of murderous intent rising. As the fighters rushed forward, the murderous air around him also got more ferocious.

Then, with a swift turn, Liam threw the stick in his hand. It landed right on the head of a fighter with a knife in his hand, creating a low thud.
