Without replying to the message, Lily deleted it and put her phone aside.
This night, she couldn't fall asleep. She recalled the past, the pain and suffering she had experienced before, and she went through them again in her dream. When she woke up, she was sweating all over, her pajamas were wet, and her pillow was wet, too.
She reached out and touched her face. When she touched her tears, she was a little stunned. It turned out that she cried in her dream.
How could she forget? Kevin had hurt her so much. How could she get along with him now?
She hadn't seen her son since she came back. She didn't know how he was doing now and how much taller he had grown.
She remembered that when she hugged him in the past, he was so young that he couldn't even speak. Every time she hugged him, he would smile at her in her arms, which made her heart melt.
She also named the child Tyler.
His surname was Wen, the same as hers.
It was ridiculous that she didn't see any of Kevin's reaction at that time. He didn't care about that child at all and didn't treat him as his own flesh and blood.
Two years had passed. She didn't know how the child was doing. Had Kevin mistreated him?
Thinking of these questions, Lily felt heartbroken. She couldn't help but hold her legs and cry in a corner of the bed.
She couldn't forget these unforgettable past, nor could she forget the hurt she had suffered. She had to slowly get it back.
Thinking of this, Lily picked up her phone and sent a message to Kevin, "I want to see my child."
After that, she didn't sleep all night.
She stayed in the study until dawn and didn't feel sleepy at all. When it was about time to go to work, she washed and dressed. When she was about to go to work, she saw Kevin's car at the door.
Sitting in the car, Kevin rolled down the window and said to her indifferently, "get in the car."
After a short silence, she didn't get in his car. Instead, Lily asked in a low voice, "when will you let me see the child?"
"If you really want to see the child, get in the car and talk to me." Seeing her indifferent attitude, Kevin's face darkened.
Hearing this, Lily opened the door and got on the car without hesitation. As soon as she fastened the seat belt, Kevin started the car.
Lily came straight to the point and asked, "what do you want?"
Kevin cast a cold glance at her and sneered, "it seems that you have the sense to know I'm making conditions with you?"
"I don't want to talk nonsense with you." The sleepless night made her a little tired. "I just want to know how you can let me see my son?"
"What if I let you stay with me?"
"No way." Lily refused without hesitation. She didn't want to have painful memories or experience those sad things.
Her refusal without hesitation made Kevin's face darken.
He braked the car and unfastened the seat belt. Then he turned to look at Lily with frightening eyes. "What happened? Why do you suddenly become so extreme?"
"Extreme?" Lily read the word in a low voice and suddenly sneered, "is this your comment on me? Do you think I'm too extreme?"
