When she was about to leave, a pair of warm hands fell on her shoulder and pressed her back in place.
The familiar scent spread to her nose. She relaxed in an instant because finally Kevin came.
Like a long-time separation from home, back to the sense of belonging of the hometown, Lily let out a sigh of relief and inexplicably felt at ease. She lowered her head, silently waiting for the coming storm.
"Kevin, what are you doing?"
"What are you doing there?" Kevin ignored his mother and directly asked the servant.
The servant was frightened by his seriousness. She was at a loss, hemming and hawing, unable to speak for a long time. It was a long time before she turned to look at Fiona for help.
Lily could tell that it was all Fiona's plan. If she hadn't informed the servants in advance, they would have arranged the chairs according to the number of people.
Thinking of that, a faint smile spread over Lily's face.
"Why are you still standing there?" Kevin's voice was getting colder and colder.
Sitting next to him, Lily felt a shiver unconsciously. She raised her head and looked at him directly.
He looked calm, but more emotions were brewing in his eyes. She lowered her head and prepared to stay out of the affair. However, she saw Vernon accidentally.
His eyes with disapproval...... Somehow, she became irritable. She stood up and said, "I can go to the dining room."
"Just sit here." Kevin sneered and said, "since when our family is so poor that we even can't afford a chair?"
"Hurry up." Fiona finally compromised when she saw the determination in his eyes.
After getting her permission, the servant immediately brought a chair.
Looking at Fiona's worried face, Lily lightly shook her head. Every second in the Qin family was oppressive.
How could she spend the next few hours?
She sighed deeply and sat down with Kevin. After sitting down, Courtney suddenly threw her chopsticks in the middle of the table.
The loud sound of chopsticks colliding with each other startled Lily, whose body trembled unnaturally.
However, Kevin noticed her movement. His eyes turned cold.
With her eyes, Courtney asked a servant to come over. "What happened to the dinner today? It's so terrible. Don't the cook want to work here anymore?"
While speaking to the servant, her eyes fell on Lily instead.
Everyone knew that she cooked the dinner tonight. It was obvious that Courtney said in an attempt to make her disgusted.
"Get out." Kevin said coldly.
With her eyes wide open, Lily stared at him in amazement. He stood beside her without any hesitation and rebuked Courtney decisively.
"Kevin, what's wrong with you?" Fiona was annoyed at his attitude and defended Courtney.
"We're going home." Then Kevin pulled her hand, turned around and walked towards the door.
Fiona stood up immediately and stopped them. "Okay, okay. I won't say it anymore. Let's enjoy our meal, okay?"
The man gave her a gentle glance and then looked at Lily.
She pursed her lips and thought for a while. Then she pulled him back to the seat.
If she successfully annoyed Fiona, she might get involved in her father's business. It's better to save trouble.
