My Mirror Image by Maybe Not (Candice And Alex’s) novel Chapter 321

Sonia spoke in a low voice, leaning close to Candice's ear. After finishing, she affectionately grabbed Candice's arm, her tone softening, "Candice, you've had a bit too much to drink. Let me help you rest."

Candice wanted to shake off her hand, but her body lacked the strength. She struggled to regulate her breathing to suppress the rising warmth. "Sonia, you still have a chance to regret this."

Looking into Candice's eyes, Sonia didn't hide her malice. "You still have the energy to threaten me? You should think about what you'll do later."

Francis had already entered from the doorway. Dressed in a white shirt and black trousers, he looked quite presentable.

Since the last time in the western part of the city, Candice hadn't seen Francis's face again. However, she vaguely heard that he was demoted by the boss of the Webrews Group for some reason.

Francis pushed up the glasses on his nose and walked over. "Candice, long time no see."

Assisted by Sonia, Candice frowned with an abnormal flush on her face. Though the medicine inside her body was making her uncomfortable, her eyes remained clear. Her gaze swept back and forth between Sonia and Francis. "Did you tamper with my drink?"

Sonia feigned surprise and said, "Wrongly accusing someone is not right, Candice. You can't make baseless claims without evidence."

Seeing her confident demeanor, Candice's heart sank. "You had Xavier tamper with my drink."

She said it with certainty. Otherwise, she couldn't figure out why Xavier had suddenly toasted her.

A sarcastic smile crossed Sonia's face. "So what if I did? Do you think you can escape tonight again?"

She then looked at Francis. "Have you prepared everything you need? I've worked hard to bring you this person, and you know what to do."

Francis chuckled, his gaze openly appraising Candice.

Candice was dressed in a white professional suit for tonight's business negotiations. She had left the top button of her coat unfastened, which exposed the shirt underneath.

With her well-defined curves, this attire, which should have been serious, made her look even more alluring.

The lust in Francis's eyes made Candice feel disgusted. She heard the eager tone in his voice, "Rest assured, everything is ready. Initially, I thought what you did was unnecessary, but now, I think recording it and keeping it for my own enjoyment is a kind of pleasure."

He finished speaking and extended his hand toward Candice.

Sonia, with disdain, pushed Candice toward Francis in one go. She then lifted her chin, signaling triumphantly to Candice, "I want to see if you can still hold your head high like now once this spreads everywhere tomorrow!"

A sinister smile gradually appeared on her face. "Candice, your reputation is about to be ruined."

Almost forcibly, Francis held Candice and walked out of the private room. Candice, who already had little strength, was completely taken away by him.

The man's rough palm caressed her waist, and the air between them was filled with murky warmth. There was also a strong fragrance from the perfume on Francis, making Candice feel nauseated and disgusted.

The hotel arranged by Warner had dining areas below, and to reach the rooms upstairs, one had to pass through the corridor and take the elevator.

Francis embraced Candice as they headed to the elevator. He intentionally lowered his voice, carrying a heavy breath and a hint of laughter, "Candice, look, in the end, this is your fate. What was the use of being so stubborn a few years ago?"

The feeling of nausea became stronger and stronger for Candice. Suddenly, a cleaning cart appeared in front of them.

Candice's eyes slightly narrowed. When the cleaning staff pushed the cart toward them, she suddenly used her elbow to hit Francis's stomach and then staggered and ran past the cleaning cart.

Francis's stomach suddenly hurt, and he bent down. The cleaning staff rushed forward to support him.
