Gabe spoke gently.
Hearing his words, Islanders looked at each with sullen faces.
Those who were willing to leave had already taken the money and left half a year ago.
Some remaining islanders wanted more money, but most of them were reluctant to leave the homes they had lived in since they were young.
Because of Zora's fiancé, they finally saw the hope of staying.
Now they were asked to voluntarily give up this hope. No one was reconciled.
Bertha glanced at Gabe. She recognized he was that man that day...
"What are you doing?" At this time, Zora's voice came from behind the crowd.
Everyone looked over immediately.
Zora approached aggressively, holding an iron.
"You are ingrates. How many of you have received my dad's and mom's help since childhood? If Alan didn't help you, everyone would be homeless! We don't want to make trouble and want to live a peaceful life. Why do you not allow it?"
As Zora spoke, she saw two scratch marks on Bertha's neck.
She exploded immediately. "Who did it to my mom?"
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw a woman's eyes darting away. Zora raised the stick and pointed at her, asking, "Is it you?"
"I just grabbed her by the collar, but I didn't do it on purpose. Why are you so mad at me? I'm your elder. You must show some respect!"
The next second, Zora kicked her.
A battle among the islanders broke out.
Gabe protected Athena to stay away.
After taking two steps back, Athena suddenly saw a three or four-year-old child in the crowd who was bumped into by the adults and crying.
The adults didn't notice her at all.
They ever were about to step on her right away.
Athena watched with horror.
Then she looked at Athena in horror. "Blood... Blood..."
Zora stood in front of the crowd.
The blood was oozing from Athena's fingers, dripping on the sand.
"Athena, don't be afraid. I'll call the helicopter over now and take you to the hospital. Don't worry. Nothing will happen!" Gabe turned pale with fright. He regretted not stopping Athena just now.
"There is a sand buggy in my place. Ask the medical team to diagnose my injury." Athena's face turned pale, and she was worried about how she would explain to her children later.
Dorian immediately called.
Seth ran out when he heard the movement.
Before seeing Athena, he heard the islanders saying in panic, "The female president is injured. She won't let us go. What should we do? If I had known earlier, I would have moved away after taking the money..."
Injured? Seth's heart fluttered suddenly.
He pushed away the crowd and saw Athena covering her eyes with blood on her hands at a glance!

The readers' comments on the novel: My Mommy Became A Billionaire After the Breakup
I am at Chapter 550 and there are almost 2 stories in 1. Aron and Evie's story could very well have been made into another story. Such a waste of time because I am reading for Byron and Athena, not Evie and Aron...
Is there no new updates after this one?...
