My Past is Just Prologue (Janet and Nathaniel) novel Chapter 143

Read My Past is Just Prologue By Louisa Dillon Chapter 143 – Wine Tasting

Walking out of the venue, the car arranged by the organizers was already walling at the door.

Earl smiled politely and invited Janet to get in the car. As a bodyguard and assistant, Marco naturally got in the same car as her.

Nathaniel was about to open the car door, but Nigel was one step ahead of him.

Nigel sat directly next to Janet and threw a provocative look at Nathaniel, who was stunned outside the window.

Earl was keenly aware that the atmosphere was awkward. He poked his good friend, who was the third organizer other than him and Nigel, and gave his friend a look.

People who had been in the business world all year round were sophisticated, and they knew how to read people’s expressions. Earl’s friend immediately understood and stepped forward to smooth things over.

“Hello, Mr. Webster. I am Colin Boyer, one of the organizers of the Convention. Earl’s car is too crowded. Please get in mine.”

Nathaniel stared at Earl’s car with a complicated expression. In the end, he didn’t say anything. He just went to another car with a gloomy face, and Alfred followed.

The car drove straight to the gate of Twilight Club and stopped.

Twilight was the top high-end clubhouse In Austin. It had a strict membership system and the lowest membership fee was 16 thousand dollars a month.

Nigel opened the car door for Janet and carefully protected her head with his hands. “Be careful.”

“Thank you.”

When Nathaniel saw this scene, his face darkened even more.

As soon as they entered Twilight, someone immediately came forward to receive them, leading them to a VIP private room on the top floor.

The private room was very big, and the sofa was enough for dozens of people to sit on. There was also a special wine cabinet, and there was a lot of good wine in it.

Such a private room was only open to the top VIP customers. After all, not everyone could afford a bottle of wine worth more than tens of thousands of dollars in the wine cabinet.

Janet walked to the side of the wine cabinet and casually glanced at it. She had basically tasted all the wine here and there was nothing

new.

As the one that organized this party, Earl naturally took the lead to liven up the atmosphere and greeted, “Sit down, please…”

Nigel waved to Janet and sald with a smile, “Jill, come sit here.”

That seat was by the window, and one could see the most views of Austin. The scenery was good, and it wouldn’t be too boring to sit

there.

Janet sat next to Nigel. The seat was very spacious, but Nigel deliberately sat closer. So when Janet sat down, no one could sit on the

other side of the seat.
